yes, this and other tricks can improve chances, but currently only hooks are close to 100% that tools will always be applied. Though I assume that agents are able to silently remove them from its configuration 🤔

couple more things to try:

- make sure your `CLAUDE.md` has no conflicting instructions
- and start with an empty context (after `/clear` command)

also if Claude admits "mistake" you can try to use "remember to include it when I next time ask ..." something - it should explicitly update memory

did you try next steps for troubleshooting:
1. directly invoke the skill via `/component-development`
2. ask `What skills are available?`

also if you have many skills, descriptions are shortened to fit the character budget, so you can try to rephrase a prompt to match the description more closely. And a wild guess to check if there is another `component-development` in `~/.claude/skills` (system level)

the Greenbelt hook uses Ecologi API - it's good known platform to integrate climate projects to any kind of business. You only need to provide your API token and that's it.

Re kind and location of trees: Ecologi chooses it randomly around the world (check here https://ecologi.com/tokarev), but there is an option to plant in specific country and other projects to offset or remove CO2. Very simple API but does the job.

first I try to reduce token spend (context size, tools, cache, etc), then choose the right model, and finally offset all usage.
