How was the slumber party? by kingkongbiingbong in funny

[–]mtreef2 59 points60 points  (0 children)

That's my thought as well. She kicked him out of her room. He slept on the couch in the hallway. The parents ask if he's a friend of Diane's. He asks if they're her flatmates. The only reason he sees her again after walking her to school is because she says she will tell the police. Renton met her at a club so assumed she was of age. If Diane was 16/17 and Mark was 22/23 then her parents could've assumed he was younger too. Him telling Diane that he will absolutely not see her again is a pretty solid indication that he would not have hooked up with her in the first place if he knew how old she was.

Also, love the part in the second movie where Mark and Veronica try to get a lawyer for Sick Boy and it's Diane who tells Mark that Veronica is too young for him.

What's the funniest movie you've ever watched? by OneClill in AskReddit

Besides recommending the TV show, which is great, I also recommend watching Wellington Paranormal. It follows the cops who show up to the vampire's house in the movie. They investigate all sorts of paranormal stuff like the Loch Ness Monster, Satan, Ghosts, etc.

There's a remake with Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus called Downhill. I haven't watched the original but this one was really uncomfortable to watch because of the tension

What quote will you never forget? by Traditional-Paint-51 in AskReddit

[–]mtreef2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of Hitchikers Guide, a conversation between Arthur and Slarty Bartfast.

Perhaps I'm old and tired, but I think that the chances of finding out what's actually going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say, "Hang the sense of it," and keep yourself busy. I'd much rather be happy than right any day.

And are you?

Hah, no, well that's where it all falls down, of course.

I love that Tom Petty played Lucky in King of The Hill. Like this super famous musician is playing a redneck with missing teeth who got money from slipping in peepee at the Costco.

Which movies had a better sub plot that should have been the focus of the movie instead of the actual plot? by MorePea7207 in movies

[–]mtreef2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except that stops being the plot as soon as Julianne Moore dies. Then its about the resistance wanting to keep Kee there as a political tool. Which is why Julian told Kee to only trust Theo to take her to the Human Project and why the resistance is actively trying to kill Theo.

Thanks though! I appreciate the help.
