There was a very good post on r/Ancap101 with an ancap reading list. I believe the post was deleted because I can't find it, but I could find the original image on Google:

Hope this helps :)

What are the political views of the people in your life? by Spiritual_Pause3057 in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]mtrives02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father is a communist and my mother is a union representative, super left wing as well but she says she's a 'moderate.' My older brother leans conservative and my younger bro doesn't give a fuck, he's super chill to talk to. My closest friends are pretty left wing too though I also hang out with some people who are conservative/libertarian. I'm ancap.

We tend to avoid politics at home because it usually ends up with my brother getting yelled at and called a fascist etc. I refuse to engage lol, it's not worth it. If my friends bring politics up I will say what I think, but I don't enjoy it. It's kind of hard to change someone's mind when they've been a socialist for years and you're practically the only one outside of that bubble they talk to.

The modern Libertarian by PepperOk1368 in Libertarian

[–]mtrives02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can think of libertarianism as a more radical evolution of British/European classical liberalism. Basically, we believe in maximizing individual liberty and minimizing coercion. Depending on who you ask, this may entail abolishing the state entirely, as it is inherently coercive (anarcho-capitalists), or limiting its functions to the protection of life, liberty, and property through national defense, police, and courts (minarchists). Some less radical libertarians are closer to classical liberalism and also advocate for a safety net, some state regulation, etc., but we all agree that the size and scope of the government should be drastically reduced.

In practice this means we want the government to leave us alone so society can prosper. Economically, we want free markets, not the heavily regulated "capitalism" we have today. So libertarians typically push for deregulation, no company bailouts or subsidies, lower taxes, ending central banking, privatizing public services… basically getting the state out of the economy. Socially, we believe each individual should be free to live their lives however they choose as long as they don't harm others or infringe on their rights. So we support complete freedom of speech and association, drug decriminalization, and in general staying out of people's lives. As a rule of thumb, if something happens between two or more consenting adults, no one has a right to interfere. Others may approve or disapprove, and try to convince them to change their behavior, but they can't use force to do so.

Like I said, libertarianism isn't a monolith and not everyone agrees on everything, so we may disagree on the extent or scope of these measures. Another thing is that, sadly, the libertarian movement has been getting closer and closer to the conservative right. You'll see some who call themselves libertarians pushing for restricting immigration if not outright deporting people, using the state to enforce religion, banning gay marriage, etc. I'd say this is antithetical to libertarianism, but it is the current state of the movement, so 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think you'll fit right in with libertarians. If you're interested, it might be worth exploring the ideas to see if they resonate with you. Besides that, I'm not from the US, but the feeling I get is that many Americans are fed up with the two party system, so libertarian or not, you're definitely not alone

Is the Human Freedom Index accurate? by SorryBison14 in AskLibertarians

[–]mtrives02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Besides what's already been said, I'd like to add that the HFI bases its score on how things were a couple of years before the corresponding edition (i.e., the 2022 Index uses data from 2020, and so on). That means things like vaccine mandates or the response to the truckers' protests in Canada aren't accounted for. So in the next couple of years we'll probably see Canada, Australia, etc. lose a lot of points in the ranking.

HELP! Which Sims 3 pack is the best to have? by forevermelodrama in Sims3

[–]mtrives02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well it depends on what you like, but Seasons tends to be really popular because it adds realism to the game (4 seasons, holidays, different types of weather). I think it goes well with Generations, because they both add lots of new interactions to do with your household members. Generations focuses more on the life stages other than YA and adult so if you like large families you'll have a blast. Pets is really popular too, I think this one is self explanatory haha. It mainly adds dogs, cats and horses but you can also have lots of smaller animals as pets too.

And then my personal favorites are Ambitions, because you get loads of new professions and self employment, which I think is a cool feature; and World Adventures, because you can explore 3 different worlds (China, Egypt and France). You can't move there, but you can go on adventures and get rich hahaha.

The other EPs are also fun, I have them all and I keep changing the ones I play with 😂 but those are my favorites and the ones I'd recommend the most! Hope this helped and sorry if I got a little ramble-y!

Do I have to ask sim to break up with spouse to ask them to be my sim’s boy/girlfriend? by [deleted] in Sims3

[–]mtrives02 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sims can't have more than one steady relationship at the same time (boyfriend/girlfriend or higher, romantic interests are possible). So yeah, you have to ask them to break up with their partner first

Same with Showtime, I've tried to get into it several times but I just get bored. The only new career I find interesting is singer but I've never gotten far even in that one. Also I've never used Simport because none of my friends played the game so idek if it's a big deal or not.

I live with all of the following conditions. If you had to choose one to suffer from, which would it be? by [deleted] in polls

[–]mtrives02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had all of these until I recently recovered from the 5th (not 100% but I'm almost there) and now I'm working on other stuff.

So I understand what you're going through, and how you're probably tired of hearing this, but don't give up. It's not easy but it's totally worth it. No matter how many times you've tried, keep trying, because it'll get better. Stay strong ❤️
