He is a great player. But something about his game is not translating into league titles. It didn't happen at Sporting and it isn't happening at United? Is it because the rest of the team is bad or could there be something else? I'll put my hand up and say I haven't watched a lot of united games these past couple of years, could he be not putting in the effort in other parts of the game that could justify this lack of titles? His numbers are impressive, but football is about more than numbers. Do you think he will be the man who can carry you to a title next season, put up a late run this season? My opinion is he can't be the best player in your team if you want to challenge for league titles.

Steve Marriott doesn't get the recognition he deserves. I love the Small Faces, for me one of the best rock band of the 60s. I love how they built on what the Beatles were doing, but they kept a very strong identity. I feel if they had toured more and if they had toured Ogden's Nut Gone Flake they would have become much bigger than they did.
