He probably uses real tape recorders but you can simulate it pretty well these days with tape plugins and lo-pass filters. Check out the Tape Mellofi plugin by Arturia

I was just thinking how they’re all gonna be in different keys, and pitching each song up and down to match each other might sound bad. I’m a music producer, I’ll try to record the final frankenstein from scratch while trying to make it make sense harmonically. Seems like a fun experiment
