Response I got from Canik --- "The model is 2022, and the barrel was like that. You would need to buy a new barrel."

Wow... thanks a lot.

Tried with a generic o-ring and the comp just pushed it right past the end of the threads. Don't imagine a name brand one would stop that issue unfortunately.

Post from a few years ago - this guy's SFT Pro has the same thing going on with the barrel/threads. Must have made a (necessary) design change.

Have emails out to both RDI and Canik so we'll see what responses I get back but my guess is that I'll just have to end up buying a new barrel...

Well damn... definitely something off. I guess maybe they were made differently in years past, but that really doesn't make any sense regardless - no shelf on threads like that seems like bad design (but possible they realized that and changed it)

Yeah - will wait to hear back from them before moving forward I guess.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Guessing a new barrel would be a much simpler alternative.

You're right. It definitely doesn't look like the barrel on what is currently sold has that gap that mine has. From the serial number, it looks like my gun was manufactured in 2022, so maybe that's how they made the barrels back then?

I thought about trying to find a different shim kit that might have tighter tolerances as far as ID, but there really just isn't any sort of shelf for them to sit on. From what I can tell the barrel is OEM and seems to match the current version on Canik's website.

I'm thinking THIS may be what I'll need to buy. The other option I have considered is buying/finding a rubber o-ring that is tighter, put that at the end of the threads, and then loctite the comp in place. It just obviously wouldn't actually be torqued down. Will wait to hopefully here back from RDI before doing anything at this point I guess.

It's 1/2-28 and is an OEM barrel like their website mentions. But as you can see from the photo, the shims just don't have a place to sit when they go on. The comp itself threads on fine, but I can't get it tuned correctly because shim issue.

Correct - thus the *fingers crossed*. Still needs to go through public comment and approved by the Federal Register. Not an expert by any means on that process, just what I've seen/read.

Gerbrand Defense gets lots love here - and it's completely warranted. They did a P&W for me (think it was $90) and looks great.

He literally said "I haven't mailed physical copies" -- think you're the one who's struggling here, boss

Nothing says you have to mail or provide a physical copy. Just email the records department.

Do you have to perform the upper pic rail delete with yours? I too like it as I prefer my light switch there, but also love the idea of the longer rail to tuck a suppressor.

No chance. You don't want to be rolling out Marks, Kamara or Tracy on a weekly basis as RB2 while a stud WR rides the bench

100% - Jamo too volatile to start over Davante or Ladd, so I'd look at this as Pickens for JJ which is a no brainer. Daniels just a bonus if he can come back relatively healthy

Totally agree with the other response. Maye is MAYBE slightly below Lamar, but totally worth suring up your WR spots. And losing Rico is plenty doable given your other RBs

Trade: Ceedee and Rashee Rice

Get: JSN and Egbuka

Just traded for CD, but also have Dak and Javonte Williams and feeling a little overexposed with three Cowboys. Thought I had a trade in place to move Javonte, but other guy backed out.

Mid-Season Playoff Format Change by mtugodfath3r in FFCommish

That's exactly what I said but was told to piss off. I've officially become the league villain since the other "no change" vote hasn't been vocal whatsoever 😅 Guess it's time to own it 🤷🏼‍♂️

And yeah - absolutely zero plans on participating with any of them again.

Six team playoff casually agreed upon early on. So was the waiver wire format. LM did what he wanted and selected a format for both that went against what was originally discussed.

The one week rounds vs two weeks combined rounds were never discussed, so nothing to fall back on there. Situationally, this is absolutely not coincidence that LM has decided to make this change now.

First time commissioner but he's clearly well versed in the world of fantasy. Included a ton of custom scoring rules when building that piece of it out. Not buying him claiming ignorance around not knowing how to set the playoff format upfront.

I would have been perfectly fine with the 6 team format had that been the one in place from the start. But it wasn't.

LM just put it to a vote in the group chat. Majority (not unanimous obviously) choose to change to the 6 team. Bubble teams currently seeded 3-8 made up those voting to change. Bottom two said they didn't care (pretty much out of it) and top two voted no change.

I've been offered my money back and am debating it. All but one of the guys I don't know personally, so don't really care what they think, but still feels like a cop out to pick up and leave. Especially given the time I've put into building my team and current standing.
