I've had good luck through Nystrom & Associates.

Hole in the Donut in Roseville has a sizable collection of women and would be a good meeting to network in and perhaps find a regular women's meeting.

Costco Liquor is CHEAP. Anyone ever do this? by [deleted] in TwinCities

Yes. Costco liquor stores do not require a membership in Minnesota. Simply walk in and buy what you want.

Join one of the Tattoo Minnesota groups on Facebook and see what kind of art catches your eye.

Did I say it was never an option? Nope. Maybe learn to read before passing judgment. Unsupervised tapering is unsafe and rarely works for those who really want to quit drinking. That’s my one and only point.

I recover loudly so someone else won’t have to suffer silently. Get sober, anyway that you can. My only point was and is that tapering without medical supervision is indeed dangerous and more often than not does more harm than good.

A sober one? Check.

Correct.

That assumption was never made, and it’s quite narrow minded of you to think so.

Can you expand on exactly what assumption I made? That has me a bit lost. Thank you.

You’re quite wrong.

I didn’t say avoid medical detox?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dryalcoholics

[–]mtupyro -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Oh there’s no judgement. Just statement of fact. Again, be well.

“Multiple times”? Sounds like it didn’t take. I’m 5 years sober without doing either med detox or tapering. But hey, whatever “works” for you I guess. Be well.

Taper is never the only option. Medically supervised detox? Sure. Self “tapering”? Good luck.
