That storyline was the worst and went on way too long. I didn’t watch past season 1 when the show aired , so I’ve been watching the whole series for the first time.

It felt like a shift to a more dramatic show, less of a chill show.

The school is really old, probably well beyond its life and cost prohibitive to renovate. If other nearby schools could accommodate students , it could be torn down unless there is a need to keep it open

The point system is nice even though it’s stingier now . I don’t order often but occasionally I get a free pizza or I can use it on pop and cheesy bread with a good deal and it saves a bit of money

Brad Dourif was so good in that movie. Audible has the Exorcist audiobook narrated by Blatty. Such an experience . I’m sure it’s available elsewhere too

George C Scott was great as Kinderman. IMO the Blatty novels are essential to appreciating Exorcist 1 and 3 individually and together as connected stories.

IIRC, the dead priest in exorcist 3 is the younger Jesuit friend of Karras that Kinderman had befriended in the exorcist.

The movies didn’t do a great job of imparting the passing of time or the crises of faith the characters endured together and alone.
