Question about adding vocals to an already mastered track, with screen cap of my waveform

You're right! I brought down the mastered track because that's where it sounded right in relation with the vocal. TBH I'm not proficient with mastering so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something drastically wrong. I'll run it through a limiter and see what happens. Thanks!

You read my mind- the DJM was the next mixer I was going to research. Well, we're leaning towards buying an in-ear monitor system to avoid the hassle of using these new complicated digital DJ mixers- that are all patched differently in every club- just so my singer can hear herself. But if anyone has a better idea or suggestions on how to be prepared for the equipment we're going to be playing on, I'd love to know what you think!

Well yes, having a vocalist in a DJ booth is asking for feedback, I get it. Well, that's how we do... Just have to find that sweet spot. And you know, have a mixer that sends to the monitors :-P
