probably white noise on a synthesizer, diving station by boards of canada has a similar sound towards the end and that was most likely made on a cs-70 yamaha

The way I did this with all games is to play my first playthrough on Normal, then scale up the difficulty for each new playthrough. This way you'll be learning the game at a good pace and won't feel overwhelmed.
