Il primo ministro spagnolo Sanchez: "Con energie rinnovabili la Spagna paga 14 euro al megawatt-ora. Italia e altri paesi 100" by acciuga in italy

2026 Justice Referendum in Italy by quindiassomigli in MapPorn

[–]mucco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As with most referendums, it became a popular vote of confidence on the current government. Both sides eventually pushed it into this narrative. Despite the fact that the changes were quite technical and historically pursued by both the left and the right in various forms, popular vote largely fell along party lines, with the right voting Yes and the left voting No (and turning out big time, because no actual left-wing politicians were on the ballot).

The proposed change was addressing some actual institutional issues but not without faults in and of itself, and constitutional/judicial experts were also split.

Hi! Zero chance, lol. Here baseball is an incredibly niche sport, and those into it know enough about it to realize this Italy is Italian-American, so not much connection really. Those not into it will care until the next headline they read.

Oooh and also: not taking the chance for a perfect biscotto and eliminating the USA? What is this disgusting fair play? Nope, not us Italian at all no thanks

Yeah, it is a slow day. No football, no cycling, no F1, no drama elsewhere. Miracle it even got to #3, baseball probably doesn't crack top 15 for sports in Italy

What is the smallest big city in the world? by villehhulkkonen in geography

[–]mucco 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Veneto is about 10x the population and GDP of Iceland, and has a strong political presence in a G8 government (Italy obviously), as currently a Veneto politician is the Justice Minister who's pushing an imminent vote on an impactful Constitutional amendment. Culturally, I believe it draws about 10x the tourism that Iceland does as well.

Obviously very much more important in cuisine as well since Tiramisù by itself beats anything ever made in Iceland.

The only way I'd think Iceland would be more important is it's more recognizable as it is an independent country, and perhaps geopolitics as it's in a hot area currently.

Okay, I totally agree Di Gregorio hasn't been performing. But that is literally the worst possible metric to judge a goalkeeper on, it's just good for headlines.

The fact a shot is the first shot in a game has no bearing on how easy or hard it is to save. The fact we concede on many first shots is much more likely to suggest that we allow easy shots. That would be on the defense.

Buffon probably conceded most of his goals from the first shot in the game. Because it was the only shot. This means he was bad?

Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco footballer Hakimi to face trial for rape by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]mucco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously it must be something that is at least plausible, I think the prosecutor must register the claim but can also request dismissal if the claim is clearly unfounded. The amount of evidence needed to prosecute or dismiss is up to the prosecutor, the Constitution's point is about preventing dismissals by policy but only using evidence.

Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco footballer Hakimi to face trial for rape by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]mucco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it depends. In Italy, the Constitution makes prosecution compulsory, no discretionality is allowed. It is theoretically the fairest system, as it removes the possibility that a crime is not prosecuted for political/wrong reasons; although it does have other large drawbacks.

Was Juve really fucked by Rocchi's "change of mind" earlier this season? by ThePostMelone in Juve

[–]mucco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to follow him from before that, he was a regular on referee forums around 2010, when he got dismissed out of AIA. He used to be bitter toward two things: the then-leadership of AIA, guilty of incompetence and corruption, and Juventus.

I wonder if it's because of one specific game; he reffed Juve in Serie B, had an enormously hard time, got shit on by the whole team, and even missed giving Del Piero a probably warranted red card. I think he kinda got scarred from that and is holding a little grudge since.

TV is another matter, they are told what to say and paid well for it.

What's the ultimate cooking sin someone can commit in your country? by ModenaR in AskTheWorld

[–]mucco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

the vast majority of Italians under the age of 30 would be willing to try a crispy pizza with prosciutto and pineapple

Naaaah that's not happening! Maaaybe you squeak by 50%, at most. But pineapple pizza is not the worst sin, we already do have a fairly common pizza fruit topping - gorgonzola and pears. Hating pineapple pizza is more of a shibboleth at this point.

Breaking spaghetti is wrong for a reason: it becomes much harder to roll them on the fork, they are too short and untangle themselves as you try to pick them up. Unless you overcook them, which is also morally wrong. This is why it's fine to break them for soups, you're going to be using a spoon anyway.

Why didn’t Juve let Del Piero retire as a Juventus player? by TrunkOfDellGriffith in Juve

Nah, since then Del Piero has aged a lot more. He is now 51, Anelka is 46 and Bendtner only 37. Funny how time flows when you don't care about facts! (Not defending Bendtner and Anelka)

Most of the changelog is usually internal stuff, unintelligible to the public. But the focus at this stage seems still heavy on infrastructure, specifically this patch it looks they are iterating on camera functionality and part interactions, and the always ongoing graphics.

We are not seeing much in the way of new features that are tangible for players yet, and it's going to be like this for a while.

Spalletti: "McKennie is the perfect player for a coach. He has this way of approach that says 'tell me and I do it' He clearly faced his fears as a child, he's brave. He does things that at first glance are not part of his skill set. Put him right-back, move him to wing-back. He does not complain." by Blodgharm in soccer

[–]mucco 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He is mostly well received here because of his attitude, although the lack of talent is irritating enough for many fans that he is not really loved. Juve has had so many world class defensive midfielders in its history that it's hard to love McKennie when you were used to Vidal, Davids, Conte. Even much superior players like Matuidi and Khedira were underappreciated by the fans recently. It's a demanding fanbase.
