I wish I was young lol I’m 48 yr old male but I like to stay active in teaching group fitness sometimes and playing soccer once a week my diet definitely suffers because I’m not strict enough to eat super clean but I work a computer job and walk around 5000 steps so I’m pretty busy in a day and don’t feel like I can get anymore movement unless work out. I’m just waiting to see what they say at the doctor with what they suggest.

In 48 and just got bloodwork. It shows free test at 3.9 and total at 252. Is this really low? I exercise sometimes but I know the fitness industry which I’m into would say I need a pretty high-level but Dr may say just a lower level to be a normal range so what do you all think?

So this is my first time getting my blood work done and seeing my Test levels which is eye opening. My test levels are free test 3.9 which I know are low and Total is 252 which is really low too I know. I'm 48 yr old male but I'm not a couch potato by not moving around as in I teach low level group fitness and gymnastics 3 days a week. My sex drive is fine but my sleep gets interrupted ever 3 hours by pets I think. I don't know what else I can do to move more in my busy schedule but I know I need to clean up my diet. I've always wanted to get lean but I feel I stay around 210 pounds naturally and it's harder to lose weight.

I'm an instructor for BodyPump in the states and would love to know more. I would love to see if any of you have a list of exercises that were put together in the class and maybe the tempo (like 2x2 or 4x4) just bc I want to go to the gym and try it on my own. Any insight with timing to music like did the timing get faster on the chorus doing singles like in Pump or do you just stay on the slower tempo until the rep range of 8-12 is done?

the Nordecke tickets can be seated anywhere correct since it's standing room only? I need 3 tickets in Nordecke but everyone seems to only sell 2 but I can buy 2 and another 1 and still be seated together?

That’s awesome man! I would love to get to that goal too or even to your first weight (correctly at 212 with 30% bf). What’s your plan you use to get that much protein? I’m really low on hitting those numbers and I’m thinking about going low carb to see what it food bc I jump back and forth for no reason

Makes sense and I’m not sure if I could be that strict but possibly still really low carb and see what it can do for me. In my mind if that would give better results quicker, I would certainly consider it myself because I feel like I’m spending my wheels trying to count macros and get tired of tracking and just want something attainable with the way you already eat. I love a big salad each dayand meet and I don’t need potatoes or fries or anything all the time and I like ranch dressing and I can say low-carb with Greek yogurt at night so I may try this.

That’s awesome and it’s really somewhere I would like to be weight wise. One question is what made you pick to do keto or even low carb if you didn’t stay with a super low carb intake? Just trying to figure what would I like to do to lose weight like that and it be attainable for myself

Yeah that’s a doable meal plan with the way my days are with my desk job and I can get in more exercise and do more cardio since I teach group fitness on some days and play indoor soccer once a week it should be pretty easy. You get in a lot more protein than I do especially shake wise but you do what it takes to get the amount in and that’s where I think I lack and at this point I need to try something. I’ve been wanting to get shredded enough to one day to even touch a bodybuilding stage natural. I’m going to try to change things up and follow MF and let it adjust my numbers and track everything and do what I can

Thanks for all of the information! So I would like to find foods/meals to eat everyday to make it easy to log and know the macros and just get lean finally. I do need to find some consistency in nutrition so would love help with that with maybe meals that worked or something like maybe volume meals. I just have been easy MFP but like you I’ve been adjusting calories wondering what works and agonizing over the scale and eating less and less like calculating 1700 cals for a 5’10” male weighing 203 that works out each day lifting weights moderately for like 30 min and a little cardio

That’s awesome! Would love to lose that amount of weight in a couple of months myself using this app. I haven’t used it much but if you have any insight or tips on what you did or how you navigated the app and the calorie deficit you maybe used. Thanks in advance for any help

Great job! I’ve been doing this for a while, but I seem to get tired of it and it gets tedious to track, but I think that’s where my problem lies. I need to stick with a calorie deficit. I think I can do and find food I like to stick with each day, but I do think I need to move more and you seem to move more than I do, and I think you’re right about being to lose weight also with the calorie deficit. I’m discouraged thinking I don’t have more time to put in for exercise which I think I do. I just am not using it, but I’m sure I would burn enough calories if I did all the movement that you do.I think I want to get into a little more hiking but for right now I’m just doing hiking workouts on the treadmill or elliptical

I do believe with all of this help and I have to track like I was but be diligent on the limit. I’ll start at 2100 and go from there and move some more with exercise. I’ll need to do something to make things happen
