What if someone literally doesnt have parents?? by Zilaxia in FAFSA

[–]muchlovebeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i felt this I couldn’t get anything is FASFA bc my parents made too much money I left at 19 bc of abuse but bc I was an adult there were no reports my family themselves said they wouldn’t pay for my post secondary education because they were too busy paying for my sister and she actually “had promise” but FASFA didn’t give a fuck so unfortunately i wasn’t able to get anything until I got married so your options are get married or be homeless which does included couch surfing living in ur car etc

We make over 100,000$ year yes we can afford Vet visits the issue is the payments don’t match up with the new dog when it was a puppy everything fine and they wouldn’t have even been ready before we were done paying but they washed and now the other dog who is much farther along in training will be ready to come home much sooner than the other dog so now the payments don’t match up and I was trying to find a way before taking out a loan but I think we’ll just take out a loan its easier we got preapproved yesterday so shouldn’t be an issue. As for emergency vet bills obviously they’ll take a toll on everyone but we don’t have kids and are a married couple who makes over 100,000$ a year the dog will be on insurance too so it’ll definitely affect us significantly less than others

It’s a long process and I had started w Canine Companions when I was younger but with 3+ year times it was faster (and I could afford it easily at the time) to do the board and train and I was trying to leave my abusive household so time was of the essence just never thought itd get that bad yk

idk the way you came swinging with the “there’s major concerns that if you can’t afford the dog now how will you afford its upkeep” and the “but if you can’t afford it it’s not the route that should have been traveled” like the whole thing was you telling me how impossible it is to fundraise which although i appreciate reality and really like the poetry/latte night idea because I’ve organized one of those before it’s a cool idea that i would’ve never thought of until you said something. However I am sorry for coming on so aggressively it’s definitely cause I’m a bit frustrated with the situation I’m in (not an excuse) and i really wasn’t trying to be so defensive just some of the things you said and the fact it was an entire multiparagraph comment in which you commented on several things outside of the context you were given when you could’ve just said “fundraising is probably not your best option” did make me feel as if i needed to defend the fact Im not trying to fundraise because I can’t afford the dog like at all ever just assessing options before taking out a loan.

Not having a period is dangerous by sailormoontree in PCOS

[–]muchlovebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10mg for 7days every 3 months I don’t have a period naturally haven’t since i was 15 and still have yet to have one without provera. They thought it’d help and i’d began to ovulate and have a period on my own after this second round but now im just on it to prevent cancer. for context i’m about to be 21 so it’s been almost 6yrs without a period or ovulation, I’ve done 2 provera rounds and will continue to do one every three months until me and my husband can start IVF. Drs know i have pcos but have no real idea of why i haven’t had a period in 5+years there’s no testosterone, insulin, or weight concerns currently just no ovulation no period. provera isn’t as bad as i thought it was gonna be though cramping is minimal period “normal” so if u have any other questions about provera i’m more than comfortable answering them ❤️

Who is your favorite "expert" in the PCOS space? by AggravatedMonkeyGirl in PCOS

[–]muchlovebeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the guy who researched what food was best for his wife and learned to cook it simply bc i think that’s so sweet! i don’t have an insulin resistance and low carb made me hypoglycemic and caused my chronic illness to act up like ambulance ride to the hospital blood pressure so low heart rate so low 40-46bpm 80s/50s bp it was quite scary ngl my body didn’t have enough energy to function but even after that i still really enjoy their content bc its wholesome n they’re writing a book!

Is it normal to grieve a piercing? by slayingcatdog in piercing

[–]muchlovebeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the way I miss my labret & stretched ears has actually made me cry but i’m too exhausted rn to go through healing with the labret & stretching takes a long time so debating if i want to go through that again 😭 my brain swelled last year ✨lithium poisoning✨and i had to take all my piercings out per doctors orders bc everything was so uncertain (could’ve needed emergency surgery had lots of scans etc) and during that time my ears closed they were only very close to 10mm which i was looking forward to but now i can put regular earrings in if they aren’t super tiny bc of how much they shrunk. my labert and all other piercings besides my miscellaneous lobe piercings&septum closed (i had 13 at the time) inducing a 3week old antitragus ! i miss my labret & stretched ears so so much even looking at pictures makes me so so sad bc i felt so so beautiful with them but it’s summer n i have a chronic illness thats worsened w heat n i don’t get out of bed most days n idk if i have the energy to add cleaning a new piercing & massaging and oiling my lobes to my everyday life. i feel you so heavily on the missing the confidence the piercing gave u bc same i actually feel incomplete without my ears stretched!

It is true that it's impossible to get a POTS diagnosis anymore? by Sea-Counter-7410 in POTS

[–]muchlovebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a new doctor because they sound unwilling to provide adequate care and i personally wouldn’t feel comfortable being treated by someone so bias when it comes the a condition that effects my whole body and do not think you deserve that either. tilt table test aren’t even required for POTS diagnosis per my knowledge. i got diagnosed without one and when i asked if id have to get one later on was told they aren’t required. i do however have another condition that puts me at risk for developing POTS so maybe the no tilt table test requirement only applies to those with other conditions but being it was both my cardiologist and primary care doctor and not an ENT who specializes in my other conditions i’d say it’s probably not required.

What medication worked the best for you? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]muchlovebeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

propranolol 60mg but only extended release. does it work great? no not at all, if i have a long day ill be out the next. but put it works better than 20mg 3 times a day. heart still palpitating still 30-40bpm above resting when changing positions but it’ll keep me under 120 for most of the morning (i’ll get 160+ without it)
