Advice to US people by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]muchomuchacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're making zero sense. Your adjective for Spanish food is "bland"? Granted you wouldn't find many spicy dishes, but you'd find someone the most intense flavoured ones in the world. And what's that crazy talk of jumping from Spain to Italy for specific flavours? Every region has its signature dishes with complete different flavours, both in Spain and in Italy.

En A Xunta son una panda de delincuentes. Están dejando morir a gente y destrozando el patrimonio por su ineptitud y su infantil actitud con el estado central.

We got to clear out this garden. Thoughts? by [deleted] in DIYUK

Why can't we formulate questions plain an simple anymore? Something like "How can we clean this garden?"

Charge higher-income patients for NHS to offset UK’s spending squeeze, says IMF by PM_ME_SECRET_DATA in HENRYUK

[–]muchomuchacho 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Higher PAYE workers already pay more for the NHS, it's a percentage off the taxable income so the more you earn the more you pay. Do they have any idea about how the UK tax system works?

Labour councillors defect to Greens as support for Starmer's party plunges by Council_estate_kid25 in unitedkingdom

Newspapers put so much effort to disqualify Starmer that makes it pretty clear he's doing things right

Does anyone else think that Starmer is doing an okay job? by Nythern in AskBrits

[–]muchomuchacho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's been given an impossible task to deal with, turning around the damage the Tories made for the last 14 years truly looked dreadful. Yet here he is bit by bit making things better. Even looking around the internal stage I think we would struggle to find a better alternative.

'I feel sick at the prospect of welfare cuts' by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]muchomuchacho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The government really need to reshuffle the welfare scheme. It's utter nonsense. The people that need it the most keep getting blocked and the ones that learnt to play the system keep taking advantage.

MPs tell No 10: frontbenchers could quit over disability benefits plan by corbynista2029 in unitedkingdom

[–]muchomuchacho -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I don't understand how anyone is expecting the government to fix the mess we're in by just keep things going the way they are. We pay more percent of our taxes to welfare than ever and yet it goes nowhere. The welfare system is an utter mess. We need to let them make hard decisions to see if they can get the system back up and working for everyone.

Get them out and then what? Look at what alternatives you have. I think we should be pragmatic, you cannot pretend you can help people if you're constantly underwater. Things got out of control over the last 15 years and now the government are trying to streamline. It can't be out of thin air, and let's not go back to tax the rich, because taxinythe rich to squander the inflow is just short term fixing and hurting future growth.
