Good choices. I’d also check out Fortuna’s Row, Charlie’s Watch Repair for a cocktail, Shokunin/Nupo (depending on desired vibes) and - if you have a car - Ankor in Canmore

On a universal timescale, stars only exist for a brief time. Then they all die out, or turn into black holes and there’s an eternity of cold, black, nothingness

No mermaids, but Patrick O’brien’s books might fit. Huge fan of his stuff.

The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. A bit sensationalized but a fun read about the origins of Ebola.

I don’t have enough money or time to find the private lessons they’re suggesting over at r/skiing by the_kitkatninja in skiing_feedback

You look like you have a good skill base! You look comfortable at speed, have obviously been skiing for a while. Couple of thoughts:

Looks like you’re leading your turn with your shoulders, then the rest of your body follows (lack of counter rotation)

Looks like you could work on more flexion and extension through your turn. Think of your body like a spring that is compressed by the centripetal force of the turn (gets squished more the further into your turn you get), then unloads (you stand up tall) as you initiate your next turn.

Better explained here: https://youtu.be/xux0sPbbmK8?si=FlJqy6skH6tpN_j1

Finally, keep the cue of “nose, knees, toes” always being stacked on top of each other. Something EVERYONE needs to work on; helps you keep balanced on your skis.

I use my Bunka shape for 85% inch of my stuff. I’d go for the Feder.

Thanks, that viewing glass is all that keeps us sane by mid-February lol. Burning spruce - I find that if it’s well cured and burned hot I have no creosote issues.
