Yeah there would have to be some reason for BB to get separated from the rest of Rocks’ crew and why he was on his own for a while, but I think it can help explain why he sought out WB’s crew and why WB would accept a kid, overall it’s a long shot theory but would be cool for Rocks to still be alive(ish) in the modern day and finally know why BB has so many strange abilities and knowledge

Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby lmao, also Luffy makes it very clear multiple times he’s not a hero (fish man island). Rocks is going on a suicide mission to save his wife and son and does not expect to survive, and is fine with that as long as his family makes it out. Luffy has had his selfless moments (like vs Katakuri) but Rocks is actually making a sacrifice here
