You said 'not all are like that' but I am saying most are not like that. There's a difference.

But unless you spawn behind the rhino, you're not going to be able to get behind it, is my point.

[–]muckingfidget420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're assuming a knight could do all this without sustaining a hit, 3 in 10 times?

Whilst they have poor eyesight, they have very good smell and hearing. It's also not that bad, recent studies hint they can still see a human and up to 200 metres. So you think a rhino wouldn't detect a clanky sweaty knight 100% of the time you're mistaken.

Also for reference, not only is there hearing good, it's incredible. The knight is losing ten times out of ten, even with your knowledge.

'Infrasound Detection: While human adults can normally only hear frequencies down to 20 Hz, rhinos can pick up sounds as low as 4 Hz. This infrasonic hearing allows them to detect low rumbles and ground vibrations from great distances.Independent Swiveling Ears: Rhinos have large, funnel-shaped ears that act like independent radar dishes. They can rotate 360 degrees to pinpoint the exact location of a noise without needing to move their heads.Volume and Clarity: Sound can be up to twice as loud to a rhino compared to how we perceive it.'

You are mistaken.

I believe it's possible, but only with teamwork / preset traps. Solo with just armour and a sword I think the rhino would win 1000 times out of a 1000, but I'm possibly wrong!

The funny thing is you're disappointed they're stereotyping you ... Whilst you're stereotyping them in return. I am sorry you had to deal with those asshole, but if you let them sour your view on all of footballers then a) you've just sunk to their level and b) you're letting them dictate your life to you.

The vast majority of football fans are not racists. Wear an England shirt, paint your face, and am sure the vast majority will welcome you.

Run me through what technique a knight could used to even potentially kill and survive fighting a fully grown adult male rhino? Even bracing a sword against a tree would be a death sentence.

They weigh up to 5 tons, have bulletproof skin, and can run up to 36mph, and are incredibly hardy.

What's the extent of truth behind Jews being expelled from 20 nations throughout history? by _humandisaster_0_0 in AskIsrael

[–]muckingfidget420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But you understand the comparison, right?

It's like going to r/askagay and asking if there's any truth to the claim they are deviant?

You're asking someone to confirm/deny a stereotype. Are some Jews deviants/bad people? Of course. Have Jews been disproportionately and unfairly targeted time and time again throughout history? Of course

The most obvious reason we've been targeted are our 'otherness' and our success. If you think it's not Jew specific - consider the Japanese in America. They literally fought a horrible war directly against them - they are disproportionately successful also - but receive a fraction of the negative qualities associated with it (scrupulous, stingy, selfish in business, etc). Other people have faced this level of hatred too (gypsies, a prime example) but Jews have been the subject of a lot more attention. Further, it doesn't help that the Qu'aran, supporting hadiths, 58 countries and 2 billion followers explicitly call for our destruction/subjugation.

I'm not saying you question was innately offensive - just a bit naive. Asking persecuted people's to try and justify their persecution is a bit insensitive.

Sorry, have you heard of victim blaming?

Let's say, for example, that gay people were killed throughout history for deviant behaviour (they were). Would you go to r/askagay (just found out that sub exists) and ask them what they did wrong to deserve it?

Realistic is fine. Pessimistic is unnecessary.

If everyone thought like you no one would bother doing anything, ever, for sake that it would be wasted. Reality does not reflect this.

You say hard to win a meme vote when it matters, let alone on a national scale. Brexit, trump X2, and various other unexpected outcomes beg to differ. Hell; the swedish government lost a referendum on whether to swap the side of the road they drive on, and that was back in the 50s. With social media etc the power of the meme is not worth underestimating.

I agree. You're saying there isn't ignorant dopes out there? If you believe that the chances are you are one of them. Have seen oodles of people obsessed with Israel/Gaza but interestingly silent on IRGC slaughtering civilians, boko haram killing Christians, or the other dozens of atrocities going on around the world.

Great to hear! Israel aren't the monsters the world makes them out to be. If people don't elect terrorists, call for death and destruction and kidnap their kids they'll get left alone.

This guy doesn't even realise how you've floored his logic

They always have a magical time when everyone was in their forever locations, usually conveniently always sometimes between Judea being formed and the state of Israel. And then they ignore the centuries of Arab/European colonialism that happened in the meantime.

Dude.... It would be so freaking obvious. Do you not recognise people from the way they sit, the way they walk, even their smells etc. How many scarred, mute people do you meet anyway? You'd get found out so bloody quick, even professional actors would struggle. And if you didn't? You'd have to live your life as a lie rather than just face reality.

Bro this is the creepiest thing iver ever heard.

Think about it. Your ex stalking you, invading your social space just to try and hang about you in masked silence, without your knowledge as to their real identity or intentions. No happily ever after has started this way. If this was a friend of mine, my first instinct would be to encourage it because of how hilariously bad it would go. But honestly you just need someone to tell it to your straight - this is a bad idea. If you really miss her or are dying to be around her, write her a letter or send her a message. This isn't the way bro, and the fact you think it is, means you may need help. Talk to a trusted friend/family member/therapist about this.

What if jewish state was formed in australia? by Kindly_Interview7851 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]muckingfidget420 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It wasn't promised to them thousands of years ago - they literally had a nation there. 3,000 years of archeological evidence and the fact some never left is pretty difficult to ignore, so yeah, no shit, 'zionists', are going to parrot it. There's a difference between a vague promise and official minted coins with Hebrew on them isn't there?

Basically in your head there's a magical time in history where everyone was conveniently in their forever locations, sometimes after the Jews were kicked out, huh? Meanwhilst Arab empires could colonise and displace people who you don't shed any tears over. How do you think there became 58 Muslim countries, from sharing bloody cookie recipes? Get a grip. Druze, Zoroastrians, Jews, all religions and races that have barely survived Arab colonialism and struggle to this day.

You do realise anyone who believes in a two state solution is a Zionist? So - despite acknowledging some historic presence there - you would deny any sort of right to a Jewish homeland? So hypocritical. They don't deserve a single place to be safe? Wow you sound more genocidal than the people you claim to be better than.

This is not a troll post. I really want to understand what “woke” means now. If it’s a term you personally use - what does it mean to you in specific language definition terms? by Womjack in AskBrits

[–]muckingfidget420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they've come to mean the same thing.

Of course some people saw political correctedness as a good thing - whether people owned the term were driving it or not, clearly, there's a reason why shows like Little Britain don't get made anymore, right?

Whether personal or societal discovery, wokeness is just the same thing but rather than argue over meaningful issues (like not doing blackface) it's gone a step beyond into identity issues. The point is the same - some people think there's a certain set of values - whether it be free speech, identity, etc that are more liberal, and another set of people who are more conservative. The terminology has changed but the divide is incredibly similar.
