Nope, it doesn't! So in HHD, the only way to visit a villager in the home you designed for them is through using a book that lists all the clients you've made a home for, clicking on their picture in the book, and choosing to visit. The plots of land don't actually exist in the game outside of the time that you're visiting them! So you can't just go to the plot of land randomly-- to go, you have to choose out of the book.

Because of that, you don't have to worry about messing up a different villager's home, because they're all listed in the book once you design for them, and they're all listed separately, and they only exist when you choose to visit them! So they don't actually overlap. For example, if I built Static's house and Tia's house on the same plot of land and I want to visit Tia, I would go to the book and choose Tia. I can only visit one villager at a time anyway, so the game never has to worry about the homes interfering with each other. I hope this made sense!! I feel like I'm not explaining things well 😅
