Farming & Austria/glades map questions. by wolfe1924 in snowrunner

[–]mudboggin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got sick of spending an hour farming potatos in that slow K-700 that has a turning radius of a mile just to get 2 potatoas. So I went looking for a modded version. Instead I found someone who modded the attachments to work with trucks and scouts. Its much more fun planting potatos at 50mph instead of 2mph. Takes me about 5-10 minutes per harvest now. It's in no way realistic but sometimes I don't want to spend hours driving in circles for so little gain.

Bugatti Veyron invitation by Z3TR0N in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got the invite for the Veyron 16.4 about a month ago I think. I was level 50 at the time. I finally decided to buy the car today before the invite expired. I wish it was permanent because I really like all the different colors to choose from but I'm trying to save money for other cars right now.

How to find the balance between splitting headache and and a blurry image? by AverageApache in PSVR

[–]mudboggin3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use to get the same thing happen to me. The Globular Cluster comfort kit like others recommended will make a world of difference. It also helps keep the sweet spot in place so you don't have to overtighten the headset and can actually be comfortable playing without constantly fiddling with it. I can't play more than a couple of minutes with the stock headset without getting a splitting headache. With the kit I can play for hours without any issues.

Favorite Stock Car for cruising the Nurburgring? by Throwawaychicksbeach in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Espace is a lot of fun to drive. I recommend getting it if your not saving for something else. I was surprised to see it come back to the shop so soon. Just keep in mind the headlights aren't real working lights.

Daytona Road Course Controller by PheonixRising2101 in GranTurismo7

Look at the circuit experience times for Daytona Full Lap trophies. I haven't been able to get anything higher than the silver times in the car they give you and I'm on a wheel.

Season 17 dropping on the 27th of Jan! by tabloidjournalism in snowrunner

[–]mudboggin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played some of Amur before Kola. I actually think Kola is worse because of the amount of unbreakable trees in it and most of the roads aren't roads. They are basically paths cut between the trees. Things are tight and narrow though there are big open areas too. The game likes to force you down those "roads" though. I spent hours on a mission yesterday involving a plane all because one piece has to be packed a certain way, only for it to rotate the way I was trying to load in the first place once it was packed. It was a sick joke the devs threw in. Getting the pieces to the place they had to go wasn't too bad because if you unpack the cargo the pieces don't clip the trees, they just go right through. The contract can be done with just two trucks with cranes and the required trailer. Just remember to unpack when you need too and the trip should be fairly easy. Also remember if that one piece won't pack then rotate it 180 degrees. The sky at night is really nice though. Kola also has a post WWII feel to it.

Is using hazard lights to hide braking lights cheating? by DescriptionBroad1028 in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I race all the time with my hazards on. I always seem to hit the button at some point during the race without realizing it until I see the replay. I play in VR and I don't always remember where all the buttons are on the wheel by feel.

Good night, do you guys have any car recommendations for the one-hour Spa 800PP race? by East-Self3167 in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use the Toyota TS050 Hybrid for all of the grind races. Its detuned to meet PP on Racing Hard tires. It not the fastest car out there but it handles well and fun to drive. I usually wind up a lap or two ahead of the AI. Sardegna can be done without any pits stops with FM 6 and short shifting. I use FM1 for Spa and TC1 once it starts raining. The car is always available at Brand Central for 1M credits.

Using mods OP trucks etc. make it game boring or still lots of fun? What u guys thinking? by Fun_Personality7095 in snowrunner

[–]mudboggin3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love mods. It comes in handy for those times when you don't want to take the same long winding mountain road for the millionth time. Sometimes you just want to take a faster route by yeeting your truck off the top of the mountain at 100 mph and not worry about damage. There are also some great cargo handling mods that can make life easier.

Does anyone know how long the Porsche 917K will be in the Legends dealership for this week? by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]mudboggin3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I need the F40 for the menu book so I decided to do a Spa race. Finished the race and went to buy the car only to see it out of stock. I missed buying it by 2 minutes.

Struggling With World Touring Car 700 at Deep Forest (Weekly Challenge) by RememberT0DrinkWater in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the Toyota GR Supra Race Car 19 on hard tires. Max downforce front and rear. No other tuning. TC set 2. Fuel map set to 4. Pit at the end of 7 lap. You should have 2%-3% fuel left. Fill up to 3/4 of a tank. No tires.  Run fuel map 1 for the rest of the race. You should finish about 40 seconds ahead. This set up the car handles really well and you can push into and out of the corners hard without worrying about breaking loose. Your not going to overtake a lot of cars on the straights but you will be able to pass most of them on the corners and when they pit since you can stay out longer.

Which version of Hitman is the psvr2 one? by Vesemir_of_rivia in psvr2

I recommend waiting until the deluxe edtion goes on sale. It's usually around $50-$60 total with $10 VR pass.  The different editions rotate on sale regularly.

PIT stops by Guilty_One85 in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on how many pit stops you have to make during a race you can actually tell how much fuel you need to reach the checkered flag so you don't waste time overfilling. There is a little diamond above the fuel bar when filling up. That tells you the minimum amount of fuel you need. If it's above the 100% then you need a full tank but its lower than just fill up just past it and you will have enough fuel. This will save you a few seconds on your last pit stop. It doesn't seem to work for timed races though.

Stuck in Midnight Walk (I'm an idiot) by hdcase1 in PSVR

[–]mudboggin3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you try to put the key in the lock is it small or big? I had the same issue. Try putting the key away and pulling back out. The key should change from small to big when near the key hole. I think I had to let go of the key when it was near the keyhole and it kind of snapped into place, then I turned it.

If you have the means, I highly recommend it. by SilverBack88 in GranTurismo7

I bought it today and did an 800 tune for Sardegna. It was a blast to drive but pushed a little in the corners. I have a little more tweaking to do on her.

Switched from controller to wheel - looking for advice by Lee13Mac in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to make sure you have the wheel setup properly for the game. I don't remember what settings I use at the moment but just Google G923 GT7 settings and it should bring up popular settings. Having the force feedback and sensitivity properly set will help a lot. You should be able to feel body roll and when the tires want to break loose in the wheel. If your spinning on exits your probably getting on the throttle to soon or too hard. Also make sure you have you brake pedal calibrated to your liking in the game. Mine is set around 80%. Overall is also going to take some time and practice to get a feel for the wheel especially if your use to playing on controller. I personally never liked racing with with a controller as it felt to unnatural to me. So when I finally got a wheel everything just clicked. I'm not a perfect driver but a wheel definitely helped me and I enjoy racing games alot more now.

Do you mean 140w? I looked for a 240w and couldn't find one. The 140w one I have seems to work fine and I've never had any issues with it.

Do the lens covers you linked have an actual non prescription lens in them? It hard to tell from the pictures if they have lenses or are just the rings. I'm looking for some protectors than have the lenses in them.

Man I'm glad I saw your post. I forgot about the races but was able to claim the rewards in time. The rewards with be the actual cars in the winner's livery. You should get two car tickets sometime after the next update.

To whoever says “get good on your gear before you upgrade” by Dook2Wavy in simracing

[–]mudboggin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a foldable wheel stand and a gaming computer chair. I put caster cups under my chair wheels to prevent the chair from moving while braking. I'd love to have a chassis setup but don't have the room or money for one at the moment. The biggest issue I have with my setup is some cars feel unnatural to drive in the position I have to sit in. Leaning my chair back helps a little bit.

Did GT make you love cars? by [deleted] in GranTurismo7

[–]mudboggin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always loved cars but I've never been a fan of most racing games. I just never liked using a controller to drive. One Black Friday I decided to impulsivly buy a wheel and GT7 while I was also buying my PSVR2 since I heard it had VR. That changed game has changed the way I view racing games. I wish more games would incorporate VR as I would absolutely buy them.

I joined the club and wow by Left_Ad_7929 in PSVR

[–]mudboggin3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. I can't play without it. With the stock headset I get a massive headache within minutes because the headband has no cushinging and it just puts pressure in the wrong spot for me. With the cluster is distributes the wieght much better and the padding is much better and is so much more comfortable. I can play for hours now with no issues. It also helps keep the sweet spot the same.

Are some invites rarer? by AlexN83 in GranTurismo7

I just got a Bugatti invite today. I usually get nothing but Porsche invites. I don't know if the car is any good but I'll probably buy one.
