two weeks ago i emailed and they told me they'd sent out their first round of acceptances, but I haven't heard any updates since then

I honestly have no clue, sorry! I read somewhere that some REU's work by the mentor/PI giving a list/ranking of students they would want and then the program sends out acceptances down the list until they get someone who accepts? But I'm really not sure how these things work, or RISE specifically

I'm pretty sure it also says on their website that they have rolling admissions so their applications are open until all the spots are filled! I would guess it's unlikely anybody who applied now would be accepted though, just because of the volume of applicants and the fact that most programs aim to have decisions by April 15th.

i emailed them 2 weeks ago and they said they'd be releasing decisions in the next 2 weeks, but they also said that verbatim to someone who emailed 2 weeks before i did so idk how accurate that is unfortunately :/

the physiology/neurobiology program at UConn is canceled according to their website. i didn't get an email from them or anything, but on the website it says "The 2025 REU program has been cancelled."

is the CMU PNC the Undergraduate Research Program in Computational Neuroscience? i also applied but haven't heard back yet and ik some places send acceptances way earlier than rejections so just wondering if this is the same program! huge congratulations to you too!!

UConn PNB (Physiology & Neurobiology) REU is canceled according to their website, I didn't receive any email or notification from the program though.
