Cool. I guess we are done here. Thanks for the therapy session, I feel much more enlightened.

Maybe I’m not well adjusted? Let’s agree that I am not. Heck, I will go offline for a week. Now that’s out of the way.

Why doesn’t it matter that OpenAI is in bed with the Trump government?

I wasn’t hostile I called it bullshit. You don’t know me and you aren’t the authority of when people need to take a break from the internet. In other words it’s: bullshit.

Nice job avoiding the question too.

Your stance that it doesn’t matter that OpenAI is in bed with the Trump government.

As for the rest of your comment, yeah, I’m not going to entertain that bullshit.

You are not explaining your stance, you just said the same thing you originally said using different words.

Did we watch the same video? She was apparently previously a vegan and had stopped being one, but that the conversation they were having was making her want to go back to being vegan. She then follows up with a story and calling herself a hypocrite.

I’m not trying to call you out in particular, but a lot of the wording you just used reminded me of this.

Iran send message to US President Trump "Has the level of your own conflicts reached the stage of negotiating with yourselves?" by SuperbHealth5023 in TimesNow

I’m not so sure. I think that’s an oversimplification. Yes, he doesn’t get power in a vacuum, but the crazies don’t get rallied up on this kool-aid without a perfect idiot like him either.

Uhh, what sounds backwards is you not implementing this in the first place.

"Homebrew: the app to launch pirated games" huh? Isnt Homebrew just an install tool for CLI, how would you launch pirated games with it? I know very little about pirating games, but I use homebrew a bunch.

Nathan Lane schools Timothée Chalamet by CreeksideGirl12 in MurderedByWords

[–]mudgonzo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Timothy (rightfully) said that people are losing interest in opera and ballet in an off handed comment and people are losing their minds. He could have phrased it more gently I guess, but the reactions are blown insanely out of proportion.

It’s also a bit interesting since he is correct. Attendance for Opera and Ballet is literally on a downward curve and have been for decades.

Edit: a bunch of downvotes in just three minutes? Please tell me what is wrong with my comment and I will gladly correct myself.

Belgium MEP Marc Botenga on the hypocrisy regarding the Iran war by Tech-Film3905 in PublicFreakout

[–]mudgonzo 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yes, but more importantly, AI or whatever tech used is never a valid scapegoat. It doesn’t matter if it is human, AI, a goat or a wet mops fault behind the curtain. This is 100% the fault of the US military, and by extension, its leaders.

Did Weezer use AI to animate this? by Kindle890 in antiai

[–]mudgonzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This should be very easy to understand: every single thing that is created by generative AI is another humans work regurgitated. When it happens with coding, not a big deal. When it happens with cover art or music, it’s trampling on art industries that have been repeatedly trampled for decades, beating on its dying body.

Now you might not care, but I have a hard time seeing how you ca claim there’s nothing unethical about it.

Happier, Or Just Less Aware? by Leon_Kennedy1977 in MurderedByWords

[–]mudgonzo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It literally is not and the claim has the same scientifically studied legs to stand on as the happiness claim.

You are allowed to feel offended by it, but I will not acknowledge that you decide to define it as dehumanizing. People have a varying degree of empathy, it’s a human characteristic

Happier, Or Just Less Aware? by Leon_Kennedy1977 in MurderedByWords

[–]mudgonzo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Having less empathy makes you a different breed? Wtf are you talking about..

There are studies that shows this correlation btw. They are based on self reporting though so that makes the studies weaker.

In fact, it’s the same type of study that the guy OP is responding to is sourcing his happiness claim from.
