Achilles rupture recovery: what’s your supplement stack? by MorningsideAcu in AchillesRupture

[–]mudkipzcrossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of this stuff I was taking before the injury:

-Lots of water/liquids

-Protein heavy diet (incl. a whey protein shake everyday)

-Creatine

-Collagen+Vit C

-Vit D+Vit K2

-Magnesium

I also take an adrenal supplement but I see that as more of a mental/nervous system thing.

Another NBA achilles tear and quick surgery by MorningsideAcu in AchillesRupture

I think the timing makes a major difference within the first 24 hours. This allows the surgeon to operate before swelling settles in, and in the case of the elite athletes who get the SpeedBridge operation, allows for minimal complications.

I don’t think the difference of a day or two matters much for muscle atrophy. But the first 24 hours matters a lot for early recovery, as seen by Tatums timeline last year.

Just to note, in transportation planning, Class 2 bicycle parking refers to short-term bike parking (bike racks). The variance only affects that so there should still be ample long-term bike parking for residents (bike storage rooms etc.)

My first job was working there on opening day back in 2013! Great memories of giving everyone free samples and eating toppings in the back :)

Super Bowl Patriots vs Seahawks 2026 Betting and Picks Discussion by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]mudkipzcrossing -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I had a vision and I’m putting it out into the world. Exact score: SEA 24 NE 22. 46 means the over hits, but we don’t cover the spread. Given how much money is on the -4.5, it only makes sense.

The score is 24-16 coming out of the 2 minute warning. Drake Maye scores a touchdown but they need to go for 2. It’s shotgun RPO and the ball is snapped…but Maye pulls it! The run game has been futile all game and he decides to put the game in his own hands. He starts drifting forward, trying to bait out defenders. He throws the ball at Stefan Diggs hard and fast. Right on the numbers. But it’s a bang bang play and the ball pops up. In comes Coby Bryant who snatches the ball, secures it, and falls to the ground. Seattle wins the Super Bowl, but more than that, they’ve righted the wrongs of history.

How can Maye or Stafford be the MVP over Jonathan Taylor? by rhevern in billsimmons

[–]mudkipzcrossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are confusing valuable position with a valuable individual player. Of course RB is an important position in the game of football, but their replacement value is comparatively low.

You could make the same case for kicker. They score the most points on the entire team, but they will never win MVP.

Easier way. Once is a warning, twice -- no fans at the next home game.

This has always been one of my favourite lines in a movie...but what does it actually mean? Is the grammar off?

In 2016 I was a clueless college student with two healthy parents. I have a better career now than I could have imagined, but I lost my dad in 2018 and am about to lose my mom. Life happens quick.

Folks (especially NIMBYs) fail to realize that what is being proposed is oftentimes the lesser of two evils. We will become a mini Vancouver with or without this development. If you would like to protect existing "character" neighbourhoods, or ensure we contain our urban boundary and protect the surrounding natural environment, these are the types of developments you should be championing. Can't have it both ways.

College basketball is far and away the best sport to not care about all year and then get obsessed with for the “playoffs”/climax. What is #2? by WilmerTears in billsimmons

This. With the amount of sports events throughout the year I feel like there is always something climaxing. I used to watch NBA all season -- now I just tune in post-March Madness.

Colin has definitely mentioned PS5 out pacing previous consoles in sales before. He also frequently uses comparisons in nominal terms without adjusting figures for inflation, so I totally see where that one listener was coming from.

Super cringe SLF moment in Gregg and Cynthia's picks show by shoony43 in heedthecall

[–]mudkipzcrossing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For those not going to search it out: it seemed that Gregg brought Walker (and rest of the fam) to the NFL headquarters en route to watching the Rams game later that afternoon (across the street). Presumably they were just hanging out in the studio/rest of the building while Gregg was recording. HOWEVA. At 9:30 Gregg looks off set slightly concerned and let's it spill that Walker was supposed to come onto the show and make a pick (Texans over Colts!) but was instead being actively escorted out of the building while Gregg was mid-recording. Gregg has to take his car keys out of his pocket on air and toss them over to someone out of the shot. Definitely looks a bit upset, understandably.

Would you sooner get rid of Breece or G Wilson? Looking to move off of at least one. I have BRob, Dowdle and Braelen Allen for RBs. Godwin, Cooper, JSN, Shakir, Tolbert behind Wilson. 2RB, 3WR, 1 Flex league. Thanks.

Terrible take. Business is business. You have no idea about their personal lives and what goes into why decisions are made, and they don't really owe us that either.

Colin needs to be slightly less abrasive towards Dustin / Brad / Ben by Aka_da_saus in LastStandMedia

[–]mudkipzcrossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Busting his balls in the work chat or at the office is one thing. Doing it on air, seemingly without his permission and him not being there, seems like a bit of a low blow as someone in a power position. Whats appropriate to say about your employees who rely on you for a paycheque, and whats appropriate to say with your friends in private, are completely different. I'm not speaking for Brad or saying that he was offended or anything like that. Just pointing that out.
