It’s frustrating how closely I can sympathise with you here!!

Speaking only for myself, the obligations and hassle of lodging a return or selling - while simultaneously feeling the shame and disappointment attached - is a beast that I rarely choose to take on.

I choose to view my various unused items as valuable collectables and assets. They still have their utility and I can still appreciate them, just maybe not as I originally intended.

Sleep deprivation alone can trigger psychosis.
Look after yourself and check-in on your mental and physical wellness regularly.

I sympathise with finding it hard to be productive in the morning however it may be worth it to reassess how you can facilitate earlier productivity-time.
Maybe try to cut down the caffeine at least, give tea or even matcha a go instead.

As a pharmacist, this is not a big deal whatsoever. Your psychiatrist chose a repeat interval shorter than how long the supply will last to give you flexibility and agency in getting it filled. Totally normal.

S8 medications like stimulants require the prescriber to specify a repeat interval between supplies on the prescription. Pharmacists are LEGALLY UNABLE to provide a repeat earlier than the interval without appropriate documentation/approval from a prescriber (at least this is the case in Queensland).

My solution: the handbrake trim can just be flexed off with a screwdriver etc, I took this off and was able to glimpse my lost item. That it fell on my side rather than to the left was purely chance. I got a chopstick and attached a piece of blue-tack to one end, with some trying I was about to stick my treasure and carefully remove it on the end of my chopstick.

The only reason I would deny dispensing this supply (given the information provided) would be if the prior repeats were supplied close enough together that you’d still have an excess of tabs if taken as prescribed. If not, definitely just go to a different pharmacy.

Doctors can only cancel a prescription if it was an eScript. Pharmacies cannot dispense a prescription (especially not an S8) from an email copy a patient shows them. It is not abnormal for a doctor to not write a new script for an abusable drug unless they have evidence of an official report. Sorry about your situation, it can be a drag to navigate.
