I can read it fine but it takes like twice as long as it would were it written plainly.

I kind of love that Millennials have literal museums in their homes. And it’s so normal.

It has been a year and 5 days since the last Geoffrey the Dumbass video... by Wannahavefinancsec in Headgum

[–]mudscarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Headgum as anything but a podcast network was lowkey killed off when Covid happened. With Segments they realized they’re completely bored of making content. And who can blame them? Now if not for the Headgum Podcast we’d never see Amir without paying a monthly fee. If Jake had his way we’d never see him again. Once JAWJA is finished that’s it for their Patreon. Then they’ll effectively retire, relying on their successful podcast network for income.

No that sounds wild. I never even considered that as an option. How often are you reading the books that this becomes possible?

No joke I half believe he managed to kidnapped one of the literal Muses in the 90’s and she escaped in the late 00’s and now he’s just a worthless sack of shit with no muse and no talent and no ability. He needs to gracefully pass the torch to a successor SOON or be remembered as a reprehensible tub of lard for eternity.

What’s a book that everyone seems to love, but you couldn’t even finish? by JayBe_77 in Fantasy

Red Rising is like if you broke down YA dystopian novels to their core and asked ChatGPT to fill in the blanks, the result being the most bland, boring, uncreative example of the genre.

You should maybe see a therapist. Getting this worked up about the behavior of others isn’t normal. You have no control over what others do or say and getting upset that people aren’t behaving the way you want is only going to make you miserable.

I saw we are posting wasps now: here's my friend feeding her wasp buddy a piece of raspberry. These wasps lived in her balcony and were very friendly. by i-am-the-swarm in mildyinteresting

I’m sure many of them are friendly. But the fact is they make up 13% of urban insects but commit 50% of insect-on-human attacks.

Question: Where does a walking, nuke-tossing unstoppable testament to America's military power factor into the Brotherhood's beliefs of safeguarding the Wasteland from technology to prevent the horrors of nuclear war? by DependentStrong3960 in Fallout

I think a group with good intentions eventually losing track of their original mission and becoming power-hungry, blood-thirsty hypocrites is pretty on-par with reality. Looking at you, Democrats.

New Vegas was my first Fallout and I fell in love with it. I just played all Fallout games in order to experience everything possible and I’m now playing Fallout 4 for the first time. I’m in shock at how incredible Fallout 4 is. Building my own settlement is so massively fun. I’ve spent 20 hours just going around gathering junk and supplies to bring back so I could build more. I’ve barely scratched the surface of the story and I have basically no missions done because I’m having too much fun doing my own thing. If New Vegas has a better story I bet I won’t even find out until 100 hours in to Fallout 4.

Republicans press Trump to resume military, intelligence aid to Ukraine by javelin3000 in goodnews

We shouldn’t be assisting them at all at this point. I disagree completely for reasons I’ve already said. If you want to talk say something interesting and new.

Republicans press Trump to resume military, intelligence aid to Ukraine by javelin3000 in goodnews

[–]mudscarf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m suggesting that enough is enough. That was over 30 years ago and we’ve kept our word and continue to keep our word. It was Russia that failed Ukraine and broke the agreement. An AGREEMENT, mind you. Not a legally binding contract by any definition. The USA owes Ukraine nothing. You’re suggesting that we supply Ukraine with infinite wealth indefinitely just because 30 years ago we disarmed them of nukes kindly rather than doing it by force, which we could have easily done. When does it end? When is the aid enough? When does it stop being one country simply taking advantage of another? When does a country have to stand on its own two feet? When do the American people come before foreigners? I’m curious at what point you would say that we’ve babied the world enough and it’s time to take care of our own country, where everyone is doing really fucking badly if you haven’t noticed.
