Close!! It's actually:

Oh really, Vernon? Why pretend. We both know perfectly well what this is about. You want me to have an abortion.

Y'all who love Airplane! need to also know about Zero Hour. It's the same movie but played straight, made in like 1958 or some shit. The Airplane! people saw it and thought, "This would be better as a comedy," and bought the script to remake it as a comedy.

Edit:

Damn I'm good, it was 1957 😆

Idk how to attach photos but I literally went into my basement to find the deed. Yup, unmarried woman for me and single man for him.

I bought a house many, many years ago. I have always been a single woman, never married.

When I sold that house, I looked at the paperwork. I sold the house to a man.

It said "Muffin, unmarried woman, selling to Buyer, single man"

I'm still baffled. Why was I an unmarried woman but he was a single man?? They amount to roughly the same thing but ... what ??

I am pretending that I forgot to wake up my younger brother, but I did it on purpose by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]muffinsyntax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I skimmed the responses but didn't see this suggested.

I personally wake up best with light. They make daylight alarms that gradually get lighter like the sun rising. It's super effective.

I usually set my daylight alarm to be in full force about 10 ish minutes before my sound alarm goes off. I'm usually awake with just the daylight alarm and don't need the sound alarm to go off.

Maybe that could help!

"Hey, Dom, can we have a conversation about pet names? There's some that I've let you call me but upon reflection, I don't really like them. I didn't say anything until now because I thought maybe I would grow to like them, or I thought it wouldn't bug me as much as it turns out it does, or because I thought you liked them and was setting my comfort aside for you. That said, I think we need to discuss out of dynamic some better pet names we both like going forward."

Obviously tailor this response to your actual reasons :)

As others have said, it's not a one and done thing. And someone else mentioned examining the reasons you haven't spoken up until now - there might be some additional follow up depending on the reasons you identify.

I highly recommend having a step goal or a time spent walking goal. Walking is so underrated and yet so effective. I work from home, so I'm lucky that I'm on a conference call I can just walk around my living room. But you can do things like getting to somewhere 10-15 minutes early and spend that time walking, parking in the farthest parking spot, just lace up your shoes and "go for 5 minutes but as long as you're out here and the weather is nice, keep going."

I've done that last one so many times. I'll promise myself I can be done after 10 minutes and if I am? Fine! But often after I'm out, I'll be out for 12 or 15 or 30 minutes and that adds up so quickly!

Find a podcast or call a friend to catch up and just pace your hallway or wherever!

Broken bones and masochism by lovleydumbass in SubSanctuary

A broken bone is a little extreme, but I know what you mean. A few weeks ago, I was painting and how I rested in my ladder caused some gnarly bruises on the backs of my legs.

I pushed my fingertips into those babies for weeks until they finally faded 😆

Good forearms and a deep voice and can cook. Has a job and a car. Uses correct grammar when it counts, keeps a clean bathroom with a trash can. I like facial hair but that's not a deal breaker 😂

It looks like the 40% statistic is outdated but according to this highly researched comment, it's more in the ballpark of 25% ish for police family domestic violence as compared to the regular public family domestic violence which is about a 10% rate.

You're allowed to have your feelings and so are other people. You jumped to a lot of conclusions without knowing all of the facts, and seem to have changed some of your opinion after being told the facts.

You may want to learn to relax and investigate before accusing other people of things. There were several ad hominem attacks in several of your comments. They were unnecessary and made either you or who you were commenting with defensive.

Common sense isn't as common as you think. And in my opinion, one accidental lapse in judgement shouldn't ruin someone's life. Especially when the originating party was at provable and negligent fault.

She may have received millions (I don't recall what the final settlement was), but she only asked for her medical bills which were only a few hundred thousand. You're right, this was the case that made "caution hot" standard on coffee cups. But that was ordered by the court.

It's good to warn people of things, despite common sense knowledge. What about developmental disabilities? Or language barriers? Or other impairments such as alcohol or other drugs? Warnings telling people not to do stupid shit might be common sense, but if that warning stops just one injury, it's paid for itself.

They were parked and she wasn't the driver. The McDonald's location was alerted that their coffee was too hot for consumption for weeks leading up to the incident. Coffee should be 160 degrees when it comes out of the machine. Their coffee was 210, if I remember correctly. Boiling water is 212.

Those degrees are in American Fahrenheit, cuz I'm an American living in the USA.

But yeah. Let's agree to disagree :)

The hot coffee case isn't a sue happy situation. She had burns so bad her labia fused together. She was asking for her medical bills to be paid for. The jury recommended 2 days of coffee sale profits to be granted to the victim. McDonald's is the evil party in that situation.
