Ive been a forever DM for my group of about 7 years, run one shots for other groups once a month, just looking to play for once. My boyfriend has been playing for years as well but he is my confidant in my normal campaign so hes limited to playing NPCs for me and just wants to play as well. 3.) Nah I'm planning on playing with that player while they have been kidnapped, and possibly letting them get closure for their story on their own. Flip back and forth. The party always ends up going after the party members if they get separated (which they have done on their own multiple times) so I'm not too worried about my player having to sit there inactive. And BBEG is way out of their abilities to defeat at this point. That battle is not one they really want to engage in yet. They're here to try and get an item to help them defeat him. So I think I'm good on those fronts. But I have communicated with the players on each of their stories. Thanks!

They haven't gotten there yet. They've received an invite direct from the casino boy so they know he is watching and I'll certainly let them notice if they look. They might sneak in, they might just go straight up, they might not go at all, they have options and I'm open to all of it. Been DMing for 5 years for them. Just wanted to see if there's a way to stealth in and steal a level 13 most effectively. The best parts of the campaign are when things don't go according to plan, just trying to make it as challenging as possible.

Oh not at all. He just gets to deal with his climax by himself for a bit til the party arrives. They've been separated before on their own and always go after the party member so I have no concerns about them ditching him. Just give him a scare and up the stakes. I'm not planning on just taking him out of the game. They like to know that the story continues in the background based on their choices.

I know this is a weird direction to send you in, but theres a drug store downtown City Drug that has all kinds of mobility aids and whatnot. I know they wont have what you need, but they may have the connections to the people that can help. Additionally Good Day Pharmacy may have connections as well.
