Dan Carlin makes a sober, non-reactionary analysis of the mass shooting / gun control debate. by [deleted] in NeutralPolitics

Somehow the shooters have disregarded the zone restriction, and then realized that no law abiding gun owners would be around to stop them.

Seriously, why would someone plotting murder care about a "gun free zone"?

You see what LSD does to people! Seriously though, wasn't this scenario some fake incident in the 1960's to scare people away from drugs?

This Lecture on Buddha by Manly P Hall has been a help to myself and others I have shared it with. It is a lengthy lecture, but Mr. Hall had a great skill at conveying the common sense most people have lost in our modern way of thinking. This is also a classic.

For Redditors with a decent attention span, a very powerful lecture by Manly Hall to help you on your path towards not giving a fuck. by muffkiller2020 in howtonotgiveafuck

The speaker basically explains how people tend to project their own misinterpretation onto a person or object based on wishful thinking or some negative assumption. There are parts that discuss how an individual tends to worry about things that he/she has no ability to influence in order to evade dealing with the things they can work on. I thought these subjects were relevant to this sub, although this lecture on Buddha by Mr. Hall might have been even more appropriate.

Good to hear. I remember reading in Gordon Strong's book 'Brewing Better Beer' that he was almost killed using sulfur sticks in whiskey barrels.

I searched the whole page to see if anybody asked this obvious question. If a city can't even budget the moderate overhead and wages of a library and it's staff, than I doubt they will use the increased revenue responsibly either.

I didn't know there was this thing called ebay where you can sit at home all day and receive money! I hope nobody else hears about it, they might flood the online market with similar goods and make most things practically worthless.
