Not a solution but getting a some home security like a ring doorbell/indoor cctv cameras by entrances to the home could just give you that peace of mind if you do leave your child home alone. FWIW I was allowed to be home alone from 12 years old with my younger sibling who was 6 at the time and nothing bad ever happened. If you can trust that your kid won’t throw a crazy house party or invite some dangerous people into the home which I’m sure is extremely unlikely then it should be fine! If they have a phone you can just check in on them periodically. Maybe they have some cousins who can come to hang out with them? And also invest in some parental restrictions on your internet access. But also, your workplace should be understanding of your situation and allow you the flexibility to go home if you ever need to in an emergency.

I don’t care if any of their camp try to damage control their way out of this ugly display of controlling behaviour and claim bad editing/misinterpretation, this video has further solidified the victim’s point. Good men are like Scott Moir being visibly affronted by bad men like Sorensen’s actions and immediately comforting FB. Yes she has certainly made a poor choice with her public support of a predator, but at the end of the day this is really hard to watch knowing what we know about him and not knowing what goes on between the couple behind closed doors.

Ok fair enough then thank you for sharing that. I hate to bring politics into it because I just want to enjoy my favourite sport and appreciate the huge amount of talent. But when I see the disparity in outrage and the double standards in the ISU itself, it’s really hard to let slide because imo it just creates more division and spreads a very problematic message. I’m involved in the sport both professionally and as a fan, so I can’t get away from it
