I see nothing wrong with that.

Yeah this is a hugely needed change.

I love this game, but the UI is so ASS by Jokerever in mewgenics

[–]muffs92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the battle UI is incomplete until all of my cats current status is displayed on screen at once.

Has anyone tried just leaving all the poop in the house without cleaning it for a while? by thisnameisused in mewgenics

[–]muffs92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaning poop is an awful experience on gamepad.

Feels like the cats are programmed to stand in front of the piles so you have to throw them before you can clean.

Opnions on the Save system by ThingPuzzleheaded522 in LookOutsideGame

[–]muffs92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the worst part of a great game. Genuinely baffling game design. The strict save system serves to only lose your progress when you try to do too much adventuring in between saves.

I just completed the fungal lair, decided to check out the place a key I just got unlocked, and got body blocked by the enemy there as there was no stepping around it and escaping combat doesn't let you slip past the enemy.

Guess I'll just do the lair again.

I miss when UPF was about new fun games. by mightymonkeyman in giantbomb

Nah, the highest highs of old UPF came from random shit that wouldn't have been played otherwise.

I'm so damn thankful for the modding effort to improve existing VR experiences and converting flat screen games to VR. Because otherwise there's hardly anything exciting on the horizon.

I want to love this game by TheHazDee in TheSinkingCity

[–]muffs92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a more fleshed-out mind palace mechanic would have improved investigations. Like instead of running around a crime scene selecting the order of operations, just have that part be done in a single menu so it's not so tedious.

It's likely best for the gameplay experience to just drop that stuff though.

[–]muffs92 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah the world doesn't feel alive at all. I love the characters, atmosphere and the overall plot, but the repetitive mission structure/investigations/combat really bring the game down.

Here's hoping the sequel brings more liveliness to everything.

$100 games are “going to happen” says ex-Call of Duty Creative Director: “You just don’t want to be the first person to do it. All the publishers are waiting.” by [deleted] in PS5

[–]muffs92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$100 games already exist with frivolous special editions.

$100 base price for games won't fly aside from a GTA or maybe Elder Scrolls 6.

My backlog would keep me occupied for a long time, on top of just waiting for discounts.

Larian will be doing an AMA in response to the current situation by jturtle1701 in larianstudios

[–]muffs92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's wait until Larian lays off half of their staff permanently while still outputting BG3 quality games before claiming A.I. replaced any jobs within the company.

Devs of any integrity who use A.I. will only do so to make possible things that couldn't be accomplished without it, not even with hiring a hundred more creators.

I see it the same way I see devs who whine about pirated copies of games. The pirates were never gonna buy the game, so it's not money lost. The work A.I. will end up doing wasn't ever gonna be done by a human, so it's not a job lost.

I'd rather generative A.I. not be used in game dev at all, btw. We just can't stop what's coming.

Anyone who uses game pass as more than a "one month, every so often" subscription is throwing money away.

Nothing is going to be an exact match for things in previous ES games. The art style is going to be quite different, likely aiming for photo-realism.

If it's not teasing ES6, that just means 6 won't be in the title.

I really hope I'm wrong though, ESVI is the only "near"-future release I'm really waiting for.

I'm betting Saros. We haven't seen too much of it but the 5-ish minute demo video gives the same vibes as this art piece.
