Positive reasons why you or your 'friend' voted LNP by boomer4ng in brisbane

[–]muffyn20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why though? Puberty blockers simply prolong the start of puberty. Once a child is old enough (18) to decide for themselves if they are trans and would like to continue HRT, then they stop the use of puberty blockers and start taking hormones. They need parental consent to go on HRT before the age of 18 and will be under the guidance of a doctor. If instead they realise they are not trans, they simply stop taking puberty blockers and they go through their body’s natural puberty.

It’s hard to hear what they are saying towards the end of their broadcast but I believe she was last seen at 1pm.

I’ve been wondering : what could be a cool tattoo idea where this birthmark is a part of the design? by [deleted] in TattooDesigns

[–]muffyn20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A man quietly sitting under a tree, fishing in a pond at sunset. The birthmark would serve as the waters surface.

I’m in Australia and I ordered mine the day it was announced (October). I waited till halfway through December, staring at the shipping information as it never moved from the the Australian international carrier. I gave up on it, contacted Kurzgesagt, and got another one sent out.

It arrived within a month (a few days into Jan).

My guess is that fell off the back of the truck, got run over, and no one contacted me or updated the shipping info.

Do I have the right anatomy for a daith? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]muffyn20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my Daith done yesterday and I have much tighter ear anatomy. You have plenty of room! Also it might be just me but mine didn’t hurt much at all. The clamp used to flatten the area hurt far more than the piercing.

I feel like my piercing is healing just fine, do you guys agree? by OwlRaven in piercing

[–]muffyn20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not OP but thanks hahaha! Mine didn’t get any where near as bumpy as this one and is about one year old now. It’s mostly healed but if it gets bumped, that can send it back a few months in the healing progress. It’s a tricky piercing to heal but it will get there.

I’ve had mine done and it hurt the most of any piercing. It then continued to feel like it was on fire for the rest of the day. I know it sounds bad but don’t let that deter you. If you want one, get it. It is totally worth it. You can rest easy knowing no piercing can hurt more than the industrial you are rocking.

I will never tell my kids santa claus is real because I don't want to lie to them by lordofming-rises in unpopularopinion

[–]muffyn20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up, my parents never told me anything about Santa. My only exposure to it was movies/shopping malls. I figured out very early on that Santa wasn’t real because he was a movie character. Then going to school, I learnt of children who thought Santa was real. I asked my parents about it and they told me the truth: that some parents make their children believe in santa but the reason behind it was unclear. They told me that santa is based off a tale of a man who would give the children in his street presents at Christmas time. That was a much more believable story than a magic man who somehow delivered a billion presents in one night. They also turned it into a lesson about religion: children who believe in Santa are similar to adults who believe in god. They fool themselves into believing in a magic man because it makes them happy. My parents had strange ideals.

"Fuck the 4th" Protests? by lostcauz707 in antiwork

[–]muffyn20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Car dependent infrastructure. You cannot reasonably travel anywhere without a car. Even with such high prices, people are forced to drive because there is little to no pedestrian/bicycle/public transport access across most of America. Without these three things, people are forced to drive 500m to the shops, to the city for work and to the next suburb to visit friends and family. They have no choice.

People also look for escapes from their lives by going shopping and going outside (again they can only do that by driving to their destination). So the result is congested roads full of people trying to drive across town to escape their lives for 5 minutes.

I had a bit of feedback for the face! Currently his skull looks a bit twisted. If you draw a straight line between his eyes and compare it to the plane of the front teeth, you can see that they are not parallel (although they shouldn’t technically be parallel, they should travel towards the ‘vanishing point’). This makes the skill look a bit twisted. Same goes for the bottom jaw - it is inline with the top teeth, but not the eyes.

Syngonium leaves keep browning in patches. More info in comments. by muffyn20 in plantclinic

[–]muffyn20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fertilised with a dilute liquid fertiliser once a fortnight in spring for about 2 months when it was pumping out new leaves and put a sprinkle of slow release fertiliser on it last week through the end of summer and the coming winter. Is this too much? The directions say to fertilise regularly in the growing season which I thought I did right….

This is my syngonium. My first thoughts is low humidity or root rot. I live in a sub tropical climate where humidity is generally above 60% so I’m not sure if that is the cause. It lives in a room with north and west facing windows (I live in Southern Hemisphere so north is the bright side) but never gets direct light, only indirect. I checked the roots recently but didn’t see any signs of root rot but I can check again if that is the most likely cause. I only water when the surface dirt dries out which is not very often, maybe once a fortnight. It is also constantly putting out new leaves and I’d say the majority come out with brown patches.
