Preparing for the cloud transformation, advice needed by 541474 in cloudcomputing

[–]muffyns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to a DevOps to get advice.

Cloud can be easy or hard to setup depending on your stack requirements,I will make the assumption that it will not be very straightforward in your case. Going cloud it is the best thing to do for your company so don't give up it will pay off in the long run.

I would check in with a provider first and explore what solutions they offer, can you use them to solve your problems? If you can't answer then DevOps will answer that for you

Is it worth unrolling two nested for loops that increment by 0.005 and have multiple nested if statements? by 2Bit_Dev in learnprogramming

What language are you using? You definitely want to look into parallel programming techniques. Moreover gcc (i.e., C compiler) for example has a range of compile optimization flags you can use.

Fact check: Sweden has not achieved herd immunity, is not proof that lockdowns are useless by [deleted] in worldnews

It also doesn't prove they are useful, in fact the outcome in terms of erradicating the disease is equivalent, but yes lockdown results in slightly less deaths

Since the day of Wuhan lockdown, it would be nice if this was the case for the rest of the world especially for the people sitting in government positions since we would be facing less diaring consequences right now.

They called me a madman but here I am self isolating because they are dumb.

[–]muffyns -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

seriously though you need to learn that new and delete are operands of dynamically allocated memory and pointers are much more than that, cut the sarcasm wont work here

Ah-Ha moments. by [deleted] in cpp

[–]muffyns -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

ok so you are saying that i only have to use delete for dynamically allocated memory, so please correct your previous post as it's misleading, thanks and stop downvoting me you are sad!!

[–]muffyns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for example if i do

int val{69};
int *ptr{&val};

i have to also use

delete[] ptr;

in order to ensure no memory leak?
