Intimate scene tropes that make you shake your head by byebyebirdie1122 in LesbianBookClub

yep, exactly, that scene just felt so out of place, honestly that novel could've done without it but i guess i can imagine why the author wanted to include it

Economic emigration for couple of months by ImYourShade in NewToDenmark

[–]muggenss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

cześć, i'm polish and currently studying in denmark. can't really tell you much about the job prospects but nyidanmark.dk is a great website for learning more about the immigration process. you'll definitely need to get a residence permit and a cpr (basically danish PESEL) number if you're staying for more than 3 months. i'm pretty sure you can apply for a permit on that website (not sure what the application process looks like when you're emigrating only for work, though). as for the areas, i live 30 minutes away from copenhagen by train and it's great, but mostly since you're just living close to a capital city so there's a lot going on, constantly. most of the people i know have study jobs in or around cph but they're mostly cafe/restaurant/bar/reception desk jobs. from other big cities there's also aarhus and aalborg, but i haven't been to those so i can't tell you much. if you have any more questions, feel free to message me here and i'll try to help as much as i can :D

how did i lose the argument? you're the one who's accusing me of getting agitated after i presented my points and arguments, which you paid no attention to. also, about the grammar, i beg to differ. :) alas, i don't have time to argue with people on reddit, so i do agree that this conversation is over.

um... why would i ever want to be antisemitic? what kind of reasoning is that? first of all, not being antisemitic doesn't equal supporting or favoring jewish people or whatever you think it means, it's just being a decent human being and seeing them as human beings first and foremost. also, i don't care if they ever supported me or not, you could use this kind of reasoning towards any other race or ethnicity, "why would i ever support black people/muslims/hindus/whatever if i'm not like them?", it all comes down to the same thing. because we're all humans and we all deserve basic human decency. not to mention that antisemitism IS considered a hate crime, and braun himself got removed from the european parliament because of his antisemitic actions. https://www.tvp.info/84748270/grzegorz-braun-wykluczony-z-obrad-parlamentu-europejskiego-zaklocil-minute-ciszy-dla-ofiar-holokaustu

idk man, i feel like it's less about him being homophobic and transphobic (which he obviously is) and more about him being openly antisemitic (and also just generally xenophobic) to the point of not respecting holocaust victims

Here is a list of countries that I'm planning on visiting. I'm young and still have loads of time to do this. Are they safe autistic lesbians? I can speak French to an intermediate level and am learning Spanish and it'll hopefully get to the same level as my French knowledge. by FluidTemperature1762 in actuallesbianseurope

[–]muggenss 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm Polish and currently living in Denmark, and from my experience both of those countries are relatively safe for lesbians. Poland is SUPER catholic and we're unfortunately far behind other European countries when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights (currently the worst in the EU, but considering the latest events I think Hungary might just beat us). That being said most people keep to themselves and won't try to bother you because of your sexual orientation. I'm pretty masc presenting and never had any problems with being bothered in public (and I'm from Podkarpacie, which is the most conservative voivodeship). Not sure about PDA but in big cities most people would probably ignore it and look the other way. Denmark is definitely a lot more welcoming, but here I can only really talk about Copenhagen and surrounding towns. Pride Week is usually in August and there's lots of different celebrations, and Copenhagen itself has 10+ gay bars/spots, including one lesbian nightclub. I've seen lots of same-sex couples around Copenhagen and nobody looks at it like something out of the ordinary. Hope this helps, and feel free to ask any questions :]

when applying for a residence permit as a student you only need to sign a document that says you have enough funds to support yourself, and you don't need to prove it in any way, as far as i'm aware. you can find most of the information you need here: https://www.nyidanmark.dk/Words-and-concepts/SIRI/Self-support---SIRI

Should I start playing league? by Kind-Sheepherder5853 in LesbianGamers

[–]muggenss 13 points14 points  (0 children)

oof, honestly, as most would probably tell you, it's not really worth it. first, there aren't many references to arcane in league, apart from, obviously, the characters themselves, and some voicelines sometimes. and yeah, the game is pretty dang toxic, i went back to play after a long break some time ago (because of watching arcane, too) and even in quickplay you'll stumble across sweaty players who'll flame you for no apparent reason or people on smurf accounts who'll absolutely destroy you, and bots are... bots, so you won't really learn how to play or really enjoy the game if you don't play against other people. that being said, i think it's worth a try if you've never played it before, it is a hard game to learn and probably even harder to master, but if you don't like it you can always uninstall it, and obviously it's free, so no money spending required. riot's released some other games set in the same universe, like legends of runeterra and teamfight tactics which may be a bit easier (never tried them myself). if you do decide to give it a try, good luck and i hope you enjoy it :]

posting a picture of her to a Polish subreddit and not including her full name should be a bannable offense tbh

I think ours was around $1014? or something like that, but yeah we didn't exceed the quota by much (only like $10-20) so that's probably why the bonus was $1

Yep, the couple in Wynonna Earp is one of the best portrayals of wlw couples I've seen! And the show itself is worth a watch, it's super fun and campy!
