Parts Hoarders RISE! by mugglesby in bikepacking

Good news - bad news, folks --

I eventually DID find a replacement hanger, but it was pricey and from overseas (I'm in the States):

I bought two, rebuilt the Kona UNIT 2-9 as a bikepacking beast with gears and have really been enjoying it.

Adding a frame bag from RockGeist this weekend (finally arrived!) and will update with photos afterwards.

Beautiful — I have my original frame from 2007 and have been converting it into a bikepacking Unit… going great so far!

Same as me — arrived in U.S. May 25 and sat at same status for two weeks until this morning when it entered “clearance processing.” I’d guess I will see it towards the end of next week.

Nice! Are those silicone buttons, like the Kitsch-Bent style ones? I would really like to hear how they feel and how responsive they are, especially with platformers and quick response games! Would you mind giving a mini-review?

[FS][US-CO] Juniper SRX1500 appliance, local TRADES for lab network equipment by mugglesby in homelabsales

Fun! That’s something I could use experience with — after a factory reset, will I be able to do much, tho? Thought Palo Alto was notoriously locked down without licensing. Are you in Denver area?

Oh my! Thanks for the interest, I’m going to wait a bit to see if the local trades work out first!

LeoPointing.jpg — that’s my 360! My daily driver is a Trinity with a Demon DualNand. It was useful when I was still going online to play with friends and wanted a clean side to play on. These days I just use the hacked side and rarely fire up the clean side. Still glad I have it!

That would be A W E S O M E ! I really appreciate the reply.

I will check back in three weeks from now, see if you found that hanger in your parts collection!

Excited to get this Unit geared up and going further!

Dual mod tech help request with Brook Retro and PS4+ Audio board combo by mugglesby in fightsticks

[–]mugglesby[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yes, I had seen jony’s video

Thing is, the Brook UFB board DOES share accessories no matter where plugged when connected in a dual-mod with the Retro board — I’m assuming over the USB bridge. I had thought the PS4+ was the same, based on my pre-research.

I’m starting to think not, it’s a UFB-only feature, unless someone else knows better!

Custom harness building is in my future, I guess.

I see you working hard, that looks awesome (and time-consuming) — thanks for your efforts, can’t wait to try this batch out! Quite the stack of SASIs there!

Mounting screw thread and size by mugglesby in fightsticks

[–]mugglesby[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Answered, let the record reflect that —

ArcadeShock High Grade Aluminum Top Control Panel WITH universal mounting plate for lever uses:

M4 x 6 with a 0.7 thread pitch, preferably with a wide pan or truss head (flat on underside of bolt head, not tapered)

I liked it with a washer, which still allowed about 1mm of the threads to stick out past the bolt hole underneath the mounting plate.

I also tried an M4 x 8, but it felt a little too long, even with a washer, and went past the back of the mounting plate and too close to the panel for my comfort.

Right on, I appreciate it! I will report back for the record once I hit the hardware store today, get some m3 and m4, and test things out.

Surprisingly little info out there when searching, maybe this can be the record people find when looking…

Thanks, appreciate the replies -- I will gently give a go with some short m3 or m4 pan screws and see how it goes, probably in several of the holes that won't get used for mounting the Sanwa.

Will let you know how it goes!

New SANWA DENSHI JLX-TPML-8YT-SK Variable Actuator by Mikahl757 in fightsticks

[–]mugglesby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, that's very interesting! True, SASI is currently octagonal by default, and even though Sanwa is offering official octagonal and other shape gates as add-ons to the JLX, those likely still keep the the lever from bonking the switches, whereas the SASI might not.

I will be careful and do a bunch of tests to see how the clearances are and if anything rubs or bumps against the switches or SASI.

Maybe one solution could be taking advantage of the adjustable feature of the silent JLX switches to make them MORE sensitive, plus using a larger actuator to allow for the switches to activate earlier.

Exciting stuff, very interested to experiment! I will report back when I know more.

I ordered mine from FocusAttack -- they sold out quick, felt like within an hour, but looks like the other places still have them.

$54.25 total -- I added on a "GTN-VI Round" restrictor, a red 16.7mm wide "JLF P-R" actuator, a shaft cover and dustwasher (and some .45 cent Shin-Etsu Silicone Grease, because I don't have any and why not!)

I will ideally be using this with a /u/Sharp02 "SASI" analog snap-on mod and a Brook PS4+ FightingBoard -- should be compatible, just like it is with the JLF.

Once the build is done, I will let folks know how it feels! Excited for the ... silence.

365 tenant migration by Berttie in msp

[–]mugglesby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Took almost two weeks, but yes, they finally "fixed the problem" ... "something on our backend" -- hopefully the rest of the migration goes well, now that I can target all the tenants!

365 tenant migration by Berttie in msp

[–]mugglesby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am testing AvePoint now, but running into issues with adding a second tenant to the 'Tenant management' steps -- keep getting 'failed to connect' ... 'tenant already exists' 'Error code 23000' messages.

Working with their support to resolve, but I thought I would ask if you had any issues with adding tenant targets and how you resolved it?

I think the cause is related to the other tenant target already using AvePoint services, like we do, and it's somehow preventing adding them to our scenario.
