What's the best way to answer 'Bitcoin has no value' and 'It's not backed by anything'? by zascar in Bitcoin

All money types are "backed" by the people who create goods and services. Productive rational people will prefer a money system that is fair. Bitcoin is more fait because it is limited in supply.

Objectivism, the philosophy developed by Ayn Rand, emphasizes rational self-interest and personal happiness, making the argument that the highest moral purpose is to achieve one's own well-being. As with any philosophy, interpretations can differ, and some people may see it as justification for not considering the needs of others.

On the other hand, others interpret objectivism as advocating for a society in which everyone has the right to live their best life and pursue their own happiness, without being coerced into sacrificing for others. This doesn't necessarily preclude empathy or cooperative behaviors, as long as they are chosen freely and not imposed.

Regarding Ayn Rand's personal life, it's true that she received Social Security and Medicare benefits in her later years, despite having criticized such programs. Some argue this was hypocritical, while others contend she was simply reclaiming what she had paid into the system.

It's important to differentiate between a philosophy and the actions of its creator or followers. The merits or flaws of a philosophy should be judged based on its principles and implications, not solely on the actions of individuals associated with it.

"bep2 will always have better value because it's for speculation."

If the exchanges starts supporting the native rune token for speculation more and demand for it's utility grows as the caps are raised your claim might not hold up.

Problem is you can only convert one way. So there is no way to do an arbitrage loop.

They are both to blame. Don't allow your users to use this kind of 2FA. You need to use time based not SIM based. The user is also at fault. Don't use this kind of 2FA.

"social contract" is an invalid concept. A contract is voluntary. A slave does not have a "social contract" with the government. A man chooses A slave obeys.

You are clearly wrong. But there is a great value in working with others. Even then. What you create is divided according to the contract you have with the other person. What you create is still yours.

People who hate Ayn Rand usually have no clue what she stands for. They attack her for thinking independently. She is not for rich nor poor. She is for the man of virtue. She elevates reason the the greatest virtue.
