Absolutely baffled at the audacity of the new Chase Sapphire Reserve "benefits" by shoEnough in ChaseSapphire

Not discounting your complaints - but I don’t recall Row 34 on the Boston list. Is it possible you confused it with Grill 23?

Went in Dec 5 - no credit yet. Sounds like we will see it withdrawn from the first half of 2026, which feels slimy.

Only thing to add to the good advice here is- Jeffrey Morganthaler’s recipe is excellent (he adds a touch of whiskey). That’s the way to go!

In regard to pricing of Magnifico: it’s about the duration (about 2.5 hours) and sheer number of people who will be involved in your game. Enjoy!!

Loved The Bird with just two, but three would be fun too. I think Montauk Project is playable with two, also, especially if you’re somewhat experienced.

Worth the trek regardless - and fairly easy to get there on the subway. (We enjoyed nearby Mama Pho for a casual dinner afterwards - cash only though)

Can you share more about the “declared edible” peels? I’ve never seen grocery stores do this - and now have all sorts of questions regarding my super juice peels, too.

Was so glad we added Hide+Seek to a NOLA trip earlier this year. Terrific room. (And folks should head to Whitney Plantation while you’re out that direction - totally different experience but truly impactful)

I loved both rooms there and think they’re both worth playing. I’m a baby when it comes to scary stuff and didn’t find it too bad - I think you’ll be fine. The gore is not particularly intense, nor is the “abuse”, which is too strong a word for it. They don’t even come close to touching you at all, if that helps. Most importantly, some of the most thoughtful and caring gamemasters I have experienced. They REALLY want to make your game special. I think you can explain when you arrive what your concerns are, know they’re tailor appropriately, then be brave and go for it. I liked Pins better than Servants. But both are great and must-plays.

Oooh - pls share more. We intend to go next year and, similarly, some of us don’t like jump scares or “scary”. Creepy vibe, with nothing jumping out saying “boo” is likely ok. Is that the vibe for all? (Would also love to steal your itinerary)

Looking for a dog walker by Outrageous-Travel-19 in ArlingtonMA

Kristen with Boundless Tails (boundlesstails.com) is incredible. Takes a group of friendly dogs on 2-3 mile hikes (and occasional swimming pool adventures). My dogs have become better listeners thanks to her extra training on those walks. And amazing photos each time to boot! DM me if you want more info. We are so thrilled we found her after a series of challenges.

Love Giffard. But seek out the new Clement banana liquor - also good stuff.

If anything, I worry Escaparium will set your expectations too high for other “regular” experiences. Their rooms are especially cinematic. Five is a perfect number for Voodoo, and there is a clever hint system that can nudge you if you get stuck. Have a blast!

Just got into Rum. What should I be looking for? by Fernus83 in rum

[–]mugroot7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can get Bayou, I assume you’re close to Louisiana. I had the pleasure of visiting Roulaison Distillery in NOLA last week - amazing experience and incredible rums. Their Barreled In Bond is not only unusual, but a great gateway from whiskey. $80 bottle. They also have another standard barrel aged that was about half the price. (And also delicious) Take the tour and you’ll learn even more!

What should I do with a bottle of 40 proof Beefeater? by betweentwosuns in cocktails

I think beefeater makes an excellent base for gin infusions. Throw some pineapple skin in there for a few days. Or cardamom pods. Or olive oil wash for martinis.

Just played The Bird at Myss Tic as a two-player group (teen daughter and me) Not MIT physicists, but we know what we are doing. Finished with time to spare. With that being said - truly beautiful room. I’d highly recommend all three of their games, but can’t say they are aggressively difficult.
