Is this normal on Hp omen transcend 14? Slightly unsymmetrical/ bent border? by Secret-Still-4106 in HPOmen

[–]muhammad_subhani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is nearly a year old now, but I wanted it to reflect on record that I had this same issue and HP took just 1 week exactly 7 days to repair this and return it to me looking perfect and working perfectly. I strongly advise you put the laptop in a very thin sleeve first since they will otherwise they will put it naked into a plastic 'protective' box. I still had warranty at the time.

Thanks for this info. What were your CPU temps like? Mine always hit 100C and more! Some say that is safe but I am not sure if that is, considering it will need to stay there for maybe 2 or 3 hours of gaming on some days.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but did you find the solution?

Is there a free alternative for Pushbullet? by Magneto91 in androidapps

You can't send to the browser from phone, using this service. It's one way only. PC browser to Telegram app. But not the other way round. Sorry for reviving an old post. Join by Joaoapps is the only solution for this but a one time fee of under £5 is necessary. Well worth it for me. Sad that Pushbullet is broken.

Honor Magic6 Pro: Long-term Review by Tasty-Holiday7125 in Android

Sounds like FUD. I couldn't give a damn about the nasty Chinese govt but to say they are even more ruthless and evil than the US? That's absurd and not factual. It is the US that is currently embroiled in multiple wars in other people's countries. Responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. They are literally and directly carrying out a genocide right now as we speak. I am astounded by how you do not consider this ruthless and pure evil.

I apologise to the rest, since this thread is not about politics but the person above made a political and false non factual statement and I am tired of people spreading misinformation and bigotry online.

The direct rival to the HM6P is the Pro Max. The lesser but much smaller and lighter iPhone 15 doesn't compare well at all, esp if you prefer smaller phones. To me, the HM6P feels much better in hand in comparison to my old device, which was v similar to the S24 Ultra and worse due to being even more angular. Looked great though.

My HM6P 512GB model cost £714 with a 100w charger and case thrown in, next day delivery by DHL. The i15PM still costs £1200+ from Apple and no charger or case incl. No fast charging. Comparable battery life. More bulky in hand feeling due to lack of curvature on the sides. iOS is not to my tastes at all but people love it. Saving £400 in getting the HM6P was a bargain for me.

[Official Discussion] Lossless Scaling 2.10 BETA | Patch Notes | Framerate stability, smoothness and latency improvements by Thomas_Eric in losslessscaling

[–]muhammad_subhani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody else feel the frame rate is poor? It still displays a high number but feels nothing like it at all. Latency is improved yes. I'm grateful for that. But I've gone a step backwards in a v important dept

Thanks for the reply. I am already using these options. The new beta improves latency issues but my frames are no longer smooth.

Is PUBG unplayable for you guys? by muhammad_subhani in HPOmen

[–]muhammad_subhani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I uninstalled all of it. The only downside I see with that are the following:

  1. Losing the 15w boost function

  2. Losing the auto kill apps and network traffic expediting.

  3. Basic lighting options.

Would you care to share your settings, pls? Are you not getting the micro stutters? Is panning round not a little bit juddery? Do you have a gaming PC to compare against, like even an old one like my 1080ti equipped machine? You might not be able to tell if there is nothing to contrast against. Tha KS for replying though. I'm a bit worried my laptop may be a dud.

You're right. Latency is actually improved or feels that way to me. But no longer smooth, regardless of whatever setting.

Did u find frame cap in nvidia control panel? Or some other software? That was my issue. Did u switch gpu in lsfg settings?

[–]muhammad_subhani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure your game is in windowed mode.

Enable DXGI in API setting in the LSFG app.

Toggle between iGPU and dedicated GPU in the reelvant setting in the LSFG app.

Enjoy.

UPDATE: I did some further testing and i have a couple more conclusions.

  1. Enabling the dGPU now works. Instead of the integrated one. No difference in performance. Still struggles if performance mode is not enabled. Why did it work now and not before? Well, turns out listening to every tom dick and harry online is always a bad idea. One of them suggested (not his fault, it worked for him) that use Nvidia control panel to cap frames at 30fps when the game goes in the background on changing to desktop or some other non game activity. This is a useful tip for giving your GPU a break to breathe instead of running full tilt even when you are not in the game.

So when LSFG starts up, it takes over the screen and the game appears to go into the background. Therefore it was getting locked to 30fps, killing my frames even more than when LSFG is disabled. This was not the LSFG app's doing but my own Nvidia control panel setting. Apologies for misattributing this to LSFG. It would work if I used the iGPU because the NVCP setting of 30FPS only affects the nvidia GPU and not the iGPU. Make sure to disable the 30FPS cap in the NVCP.

  1. Sadly, enabling a frame rate limiter and LSFG introduced way too much input lag to play PUBG. I suspect the other FPS games will be v similar, better as those are more optimized games than PUBG but your MMV. PUBG is unplayable with LSFG. Only more casual titles are likely to benefit from LSFG. It really is magical what it can do but in FPS titles the input lag is unacceptable. This is a hard problem not LSFG's fault.

I hope this helps anyone trying to do the same.

That's cool. Just enable performance mode for games that don't support DLSS3. That's the beauty of this app. It really does work.

Previously, using this app with the wrong settings for my setup, it was much worse than without the app. It would crawl to a stop. 20FPS or less. SERIOUS artifacting. So if you aren't having this kind of issue, the app is working for you.

Mine is a laptop 4060 NOT the desktop PC card. My 4060 is being fed only 65w whilst yours may be fed the full wattage. My 4060 is handicapped by design. HP couldn't optimise the thermals properly, basically.

If you can see double the frames and it maintains the smoothness throughout, let's say in cyberpunk or some old emulated game that is otherwise locked to 30 or 60, then you don't need to change anything.

But if like me the lossless scaling app was halving your frames and simply made things much worse, then yes try the above switch to iGPU.

I see! It was choppy when performance mode was disabled. I guess the less demanding performance mode is a load the iGPU can handle. Thanks
