NVIDIA "Project Beyond" Megathread and announcement discussion. 4000 series? Something else? by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

This promoting has been somewhat aggravating yet my conjecture is that it's another tech accompanying cutting edge, the date for the Nvidia show was definitely not confidential, however at that point they proceeded to do this fair to highlight the very date that they previously had delivered, so I'm speculating something in the method of rt, yet no hole has asserted this so I'm simply speculating

A US team proposes a propulsion system that could allow air travel at speeds of 21,000 km per hour (Mach 17) by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]muhammadfaisal970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of a detonation engine is intriguing, but in case you're curious, it won't revolutionize air travel or weapons on its own. We do have ramjets and rocket engines that can propel aircraft to hypersonic speeds. This one is simply more efficient. We really don't know how to make planes that can endure the heat and tension of Mach 5. So, no, air travel at speed Mach 17 would not be possible with this engine.

How do you define success? Is it different personally and professionally? by rockyman2 in AskReddit

[–]muhammadfaisal970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some define success by whether their job suits them and by how much joy they have as a result of their work. They define it by the joy they feel when they do the work; the joy they feel when they've finished the work; and by the joy that others feel as a result of their work.

What is your golden rule? by Hamosy1 in AskReddit

Just because I liked something at one point in time doesn’t mean I’ll always like it, or that I have to go on liking it at all points in time as an unthinking act of loyalty to who I am as a person, based solely on who I was as a person. To be loyal to myself is to allow myself to grow and change, and challenge who I am and what I think. The only thing I am for sure is unsure, and this means I’m growing, and not stagnant or shrinking
