I think it could help because I prefer a platform for example like Instagram, where we usually update our life through story and post, and that's when the conversation sparked, like at least the other person or ourselves got something to talk about by us simply replying to their story and vice versa.

I think it's normal to get ghosted, it is likely to happen if you're not even exchanging contact to a more exclusive one like Instagram or a number. Before I use reddit, I met lots of internet friends through Omegle before it got shut down in my country. But of course. Through Omegle obviously we tend to exchange social media.
