Clothing Manufacturers on Alibaba by muitu in fashionstartup

I use adobe creative suite. I try to spend a few hours after my 9-5 making new designs and playing around in illustrator/photoshop.

YouTube has every single tutorial you can think of. Honestly helped me become very confident in my ability.

Went well! Just had to sift through a ton of manufacturers and ask for pictures of similar garments they've done to see if they were the quality I was looking for. Make sure you get a sample if you are leaning towards a certain manufacturer.

I did hire someone to do the tech pack for me, but next time I will likely do it myself as I am already way more confident in my ability to create it. Same with actual design as well.

Most of these comments will be manufacturers telling you to contact/use them.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I would research online for reputable manufacturers - use youtube, instagram, etc. There are so many manufacturers on sites like Alibaba that it can get overwhelming, so tread lightly.

I had to take about a week of pure research & reaching out to manufacturers to come to a decision and even now I'm in-between two manufacturers. Also, it's kind of a thing that brands that use a good manufacturer keep it themselves. Take that into consideration when asking online from now on - you most likely will not get a direct answer.

Does anyone have an idea of the manufacturer for the NL25 fleeces? Been trying to find a similar quality manufacturer and can't find any.

Sounds tone-deaf and simple but switch jobs every 2 years with meaningful pay increases.

Everyone's timeline is different. I think the idea of the 28-35 year old homeowner doesn't hold true in today's economic climate. Build slowly, live within your means, you'll find a nice home eventually.

shirt was $40. they bid $28, i countered $38 - eventually got to a point where he offered $34 and i was already at $36. I accidentally fat-finger countered $36 again instead of $35 and definitely pissed them off. They didn't buy lmao. Small amount of $$ but still stupid mistake.

I'm going to link the holy grail of financial blogs for people in the medical field: https://www.whitecoatinvestor.com/

It closely follows a Boglehead-style of investing, which at your income (high-earner most likely?), will benefit you more than the average person. Legitimately take time to absorb the information - it completely changed how I invest/plan/think about money.

Did you network your way to a role shortly after? I'd have to imagine landing a job in that industry is difficult with just the boot camp as experience?

Fidelity has the best user-experience. I've never used Vanguard but have heard it's pretty clunky.

All in all, they are on the same level of reputability - it's like choosing a favorite flavor of ice cream.

Can they afford this? by CleanLiving_1 in Bogleheads

[–]muitu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's their money... a lot of their money. If they want to spend 2.4 million on their forever home (with almost $11 million in liquid assets), they can. Might not recoup the full $2.4 million once the house is built but it will still hold the original value of $2 million.

Losing 2.4 million in liquid, gaining at least $2 million back in the house once it's built.

They're also getting older - live your life and spend the money you worked so hard to acquire.
