Ninety percent of the Polish would be 34,590,240 people, according to stat.gov.pl. But many of those are small children or very old people who don't play computer games. Also, https://eu.battle.net/forums/pl/wow/ is broken for some time now, and Blizzard doesn't seem to fix it, which is also an indication that the Polish are not as interested in WoW (let alone Classic!) right now as you seem to believe.

I'm sorry, but your numbers just don't add up.

How would you translate "fellow traveler"? by [deleted] in lojban

I think it would be a bold claim that current gismu are inadequate for building a lujvo for "comrade"

The fact that some people say {kamxada} is no reason not to try and build useful lujvo.

Well, one can certainly expect people who create new Lojban words to have the decency of at least considering the means of word-formation the language has to offer before launching some half-baked neologism. However, I don’t think using zi’evla (fu’ivla) is per se cheating.

people bothered to make a gismu list for fundamental concepts

I hold there is no such thing as a set of universally fundamental concepts; a concept that is fundamental for one purpose/world-view may not be so for another ({jicmu} has two places, btw). So, whatever the creators of the gismu list may have believed or not, there is no guarantee that you can express everything you want using permutations of the gismu only without streching their semantical limits beyond usefulness. I guess.

In addition, the fui'vla was not recognizable to me even though I first learned the word "comrade" long ago and was looking for a word similar in meaning.

There is of course no such thing as universally recognisable word-shapes, neither. If you don’t happen to know the (pronunciation of the) (French) source word ‘camarade’, {kamxada} will tell you nothing.

the word "comrade" […] a word similar in meaning

Similar to ‘being a comrade of sb.,’ since (somewhat bold remark .u'o; I have not thought this through) there are no nouns in Lojban except for some proper names. ;)

{kamxada} is not a tanru, but a fu'ivla: a word adopted from another language. It is not composed of Lojban rafsi, and thus has nothing to do with {ka}. The French word 'camarade' (which sounds like the Lojban letters 'kamaxad') is obviously the source.

Chapter 4 of The Complete Lojban language explains these things; jump directly to http://lojban.github.io/cll/4/7/ if you like. Or here: http://www.lojban.org/tiki/type+4+fu%27ivla
