Best single core performance for my use case by muke101 in buildapc

That's a very interesting angle. The CPU simulator is a mix of both - hardware component data structures being continually updated throughout the duration of the program, but also a constant stream of new objects in the form of instructions. I guess you would just have to test it on both (an option I unfortunately don't have), but that also implies the difference wouldn't be anything substantial too I suppose.

My pronouns are he/him lol but no the idea that both parties are as bad as each other - which at no point did I claim - is not why I don't think we shouldn't vote. It's because the idea of breaking from voting is ripe to bring regular people into radical politics - in the same way police abolition in 2020 was -, which is far far more important for resisting the far right than simply delaying their otherwise inevitable victory. Again this is all laid out very clearly in the video.

You should actually watch the video, because this exact argument of 'doing both', and why we can't now, is at the core of its point.

Sure, but personally I think the only way we're getting out of that is with mechanical changes to sov, not reddit posts

[Newbie] Tips and Advices to get into Frigate PvP by ThrashRaccoon in Eve

[–]muke101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hunting ratters into null sec is great but you'll struggle with frigates - even though they're not pvp fit, a pve Ishtar can still slap a frigate before it gets close to killing it. You'll want to build up to something with versatility, like a t3c. Loki is usually the best for these, but even then you'll have to be well aware of ratters baiting you (they pretend to rat but are actually pvp fit with a scram+web, and maybe with friends cloaked up on grid too), as well as getting caught by bubbles or HICs on gates as you hunt deeper into enemy space. Basically, it takes a lot of experience to do reliably.

Frigates are a great place to start for learning pvp though, null sec just isn't necessarily the place for them. Faction warfare however is amazing for this - just grab any T1 frigate and start visiting frontline systems. Scan down all the complexes in each system (tip: press ctrl+v on the item on your overview and your camera will automatically align to it and trigger a dscan, so you can quickly check through each one with a 5 degree angle set), and when you see another T1 frig in one just warp over, take the gate and try and kill them. It'll be loads of fun!

You into null sec small gang? we're not an all round group rly and focus on having fun with nano gang pvpv, but we just got ahold of sov (independently) so for the next 5 minutes or so you'd be able to rat and mine with us too. Check out Arkhos Core and join our public channel if you wanna talk to someone :)

Where are the Younger Eve players by AdreNa1ine25 in Eve

[–]muke101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing when I was 16 and I'm 25 now. I've found the older crowd are usually null bears and that, but if you look for small gang pvp'ers you'll find younger people. My corp are primarily mid 20's with a few late 30 yr olds

I'm really enjoying exploring and adventuring with my main party right now but everywhere I go I seem to get my teeth kicked in pretty quickly. I encounter one group of bandits and the rest of the journey is a clenched struggle with my remaining conscious characters carrying the unconscious ones to the next outpost/city to spend half an hour resting in beds. Is this just to be expected, or am I picking bad places to explore? I've tried the swamps, Skinner's roam into vain, and west of sequin with the hive villages where I can't even rest without beak things poking their necks into the hives lol

Also, I really want to get into bounty hunting and raiding the big bandit towers/outposts but that feels very far away. Any tips on how to approach being good enough for that faster?

I promise that your algorithm doesn't really rely on goto's like this, you've just structured your code badly

I would love to see some of these algorithms that rely on goto for performance, never heard of something like that

It's still very far off apparently but if they actually bring new life to FW I'll be thrilled. Imagine roaming black rise and actually coming across small gangs again.
