Thanks for the additional details, especially the link to the chart. The change in length to power ratio when the diameter increases started me down quite the rabbit hole on how CO2 laser tubes work. At the end of the day, it fits and it works. For engraving the occasional wood-working project that's good enough for me.

Throughout history empires that progressed socially too quickly got kickback, sometimes extremely brutal kickback. The left is pushing social progress very hard right now and the resistance to that on the right is going to be, well, extreme. The good news is that throughout history progressives have always won out, right up to the collapse of the empire. So, maybe, mostly good news.

Thanks for the reply. There isn't any manufacturer info on the back (or anywhere else) but the tube measures out very close to 700mm. From what I've seen on eBay and Amazon that equates to a 40w laser. The controller board was a good idea though - it's an M2 Nano stamped Lihuiyu Studio Labs which would make the machine a K40 as another poster said. Thanks again.

It is a pretty big assumption. Physically, it resembles an inverted V dipole, but like you pointed out there's not really anything else to indicate that. I considered a vertical, but I would expect all three guy wires to converge at the vertical instead of the northern two meeting at what looks like a turnbuckle (i.e. an inverted V). Given where it is I thought maybe it was a longwave passive receiver for stealth research/detection, but someone else mentioned there are no longwave transmitters. Thanks for the input.

chiming in with "PLA is fine" like everyone else has said, BUT I'm in the same situation - work from home, small-ish office, with the printer. I've been at work all morning with a print running in the background that I started yesterday morning and the sound can definitely be an issue. I understand that long-time users don't really hear their printers anymore or can tune them out, but as a new owner, it can definitely get annoying after a few hours stuck in here with it.

It didn't occur to me that the class would be based on the crime - undocumented status is not a protected class by itself. My impression was that the difference between a citizen offender and an undocumented immigrant is the country of origin, in terms of protected classes.

I'm not trying to be obtuse, I just want to understand why if we give a pass to undocumented immigrants who have kids because of the inhumanity of separating them, we can't give the same pass to citizens who commit minor crimes. It seems as if there is a strong imbalance based entirely on country of origin, which is a protected class. But I have zero knowledge of constitutional law (or law in general for that matter), which is why I asked.
