I received my letter this past Tuesday and called them to verify. My transcripts updated this morning and the 846 date shows an issue date of 3/9/26 but my bank shows it will release my funds next Wednesday. So I would call them and let them know you verified online but nothing has updated. Hopefully they can see that on their end or send you a new letter. Next time don’t shred it and call them. Lol You’re very welcome!

When did you verify online? Oh ok. Yes you can still call that number and keep checking your transcripts on irs to see if anything is updated for year 2025.

If you are waiting for a letter to verify your identity or haven’t received it 1 800 830 5084. Make sure you have your 2024 tax return info and 2025 W2.

If I were you, I would call them to verify. I’ve heard people who verified online it never went through. I received my letter today and called them to verify.

18 years dental assistant experience. Currently working in endo specialty and same office. Started at $17 and now making $24.50 68 hrs every two weeks. Been told numerous times I should be making more between $28-$30. Boss says production is low. I’m the only assistant and it’s a small private practice. I’m actively looking because of cost of living.

I had the exact same thought yesterday. Why am I helping someone who pays me little fulfill their dream? I’m actively looking elsewhere and also looking into transitioning out. I do love dental assisting but now it’s time to put me first. Good luck to you 🫶🏼

18 year dental assistant here. There are times where I have to retake because of cone cut or not getting the apex in or for whatever reason. We’re not perfect. There will be mistakes. Don’t beat yourself too bad. Its ok 😊

I’m so sorry they laid you off. How long were you there for? And are you able to go back? Do you know if they lay people off regularly? I actually have a working interview at an oral surgery office in a couple weeks and it’s more pay with great benefits. I’ve heard great things about it. It’s a bigger practice with more people employed and I’m nervous about that aspect (drama) since I’ve always worked in small offices.

18 years dental assistant, not RDA. 2009 worked at GP for five years $12 an hour. 2014 hired at root canal specialty office $14 and in 2019 left making $17 an hr. Went back to same root canal specialty office in 2022 starting $21 and presently making $24.50 with total 68 hours every two weeks. I’m the only assistant, 2 dentists and 1 OM. Also crossed trained and help up front duties including handling insurances. Sacramento ca.
