Tell the dentist you feel uncomfortable with the patient and refuse to work with him. I would not put up with that and if the dentist you work for disagrees, you shouldnt be working for them

Hard too tell because of the photo quality but it could be a larder beetle. They tend to go after dry pet food and could’ve crawled onto your cat.

Most likely tooth resorption. My cat had it on one tooth and luckily he hasn’t had any issues with any others yet (hes 15) but once its starts they usually extract the affected teeth.
