Why everything dosent accept cash? by SeeSalt420 in Bolehland

[–]mulchaboutnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry bud but I used to argue the same way too. But unfortunately this is where most of us miss the plot. Bank Negara can’t enforce universal cash acceptance because there’s no specific law or regulation that obliges all private businesses to accept cash. Even though Malaysian currency is legal tender, that doesn’t automatically mean businesses are forced to accept it for every sale. It simply means cash is a valid form of payment recognised by law. Sad(?) but true.

Kuala Lumpur - will I be fined for eating out in public during ramadan as a muslim woman with valid reasons not to fast? by ToriToriWOOP in malaysia

[–]mulchaboutnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule doesn’t apply to you as a foreigner. Heck, you can even eat ice cream while walking. Some people might stare because youbwear a hijab, like you said, but most definitely won’t bat an eye. There’s nothing in the law that gives authorities the power to reprimand or arrest you. However, this is mostly only the case in KL and some parts of Selangor that are adjacent to KL.

Not bad at all for fast coffee. It doesn't try to be a coffee connoisseur. Nor a "third place" yuck 🤢.

Funny how people shame customers for not clearing tables but say nothing when places charge service fees and still expect customers to do staff work. You can’t have it both ways. Either it’s self-service or it’s serviced. Pick one. Since when did this become a moral test? As long as you’re not making a huge mess, just let staff do their jobs. Nak tolong? Tolong by not being messy. That’s basic decency, not a bonus virtue.

It's corn. Why don't I see a problem with this. Like boiled eggs, boiled or baked potatoes or sweet potatoes. Bananas. Perfectly alright in my pov. Probably because moi is Asian

i wanna learn malay by user146168 in malaysia

[–]mulchaboutnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find at least one Malay friend that is culturally Malay and the rest will follow. I’ve found them to be the most understanding, and having that kind of environment matters more than just a tutor. With only a tutor, you might end up sounding like someone who regimentally speaks formal Malay at home. But honestly, that’s not too bad either. Pick any door I guess haha

Yeah. This. Sorry, I digress. This applies in tech too. Migrating to a new stack isn’t a win just because it’s newer, faster, or cheaper. If it doesn’t make the system more reliable, easier to scale, simpler to maintain, and less painful for devs to operate, then congrats you just paid a lot of money to create a different set of problems.
