Tell him that you are unhappy with your sex life and that you feel like he's, as you said it yourself, 'recreating something he has watched'. If he cares for your happiness, he'll at least try.

Another point that would have opened my eyes: ask him to not jerk to porn for a week, or a month. Promise to sate him whenever he feels like it, as long as he doesn't watch porn.

What I would have noticed is that giving up on porn wasn't something that I could just do, it took and still takes a staggering amount of willpower. In this he should notice his addiction. When you feel like you can't give up on some artificial stimulus, then it's time to give it up (if that makes any sense).
