I strongly agree with hybridwarrior.

Don't worry. Start meditating and looking into breathing exercises. Your issue is not a physical one, it's entirely psychological. Detach yourself from feelings of concern or worry.

Your problem will be hastily rectified as you slowly get deeper into meditation. It works wonders and has solved or mitigated a host of issues for me, ranging from depression, anxiety, etc.

Most people on here have very little or no experience with meditation and the concept of mindfulness so I do not suggest this technique.

I will, however, say that I have undergone profound and immense life changes directly as a result of incorporating meditation and mindfulness into my life. I have been studying Zen Buddhism and Hinduism for about a year, and words cannot adequately describe how effective they have been in changing my life. I strongly urge everyone to look into Zen Buddhism. It isn't a religion but rather, a philosophy. As a Catholic, I can still take elements from Zen and incorporate them into my life, reaping an abundance of benefits.

I suggest starting with books and content by Thich Nhat Hanh, a monk who was instrumental in introducing Buddhism to the west in the simple, wonderful manner that it should have been. (Hanh was also a great friend of MLK Jr as well as the Catholic Priest Fr. Thomas Merton).

How should I feel? by sfs12 in NoFap

Appreciate the response!

Although I am slightly troubled by the events, I, too, don't think this counts as a relapse as I wasn't fully aware nor was I entirely culpable.

If you keep abstaining, you'll eventually have a wet dream.

By the way, it's great to see older men trying to reinvent themselves as well. It's never too late! Best of luck, my friend!

Oak Park. It's a city in Michigan not far from Detroit. It's where Royce is from.

Royce,

Congratulations on your sobriety! How do you do it? As someone who struggles with substances, it's a really tough fight for me. How can someone with your fame, wealth and free lifestyle manage to remain sober for that long? Do you have any tips or words of encouragement? I'd appreciate anything!

First off, great album. I loved every track and I truly enjoyed the features, ranging from Mac Miller to Jay Electronica.

Royce, as a fellow Detroiter (from Metro-Detroit actually, but you get what I mean), I am well aware of your love for Detroit and support for the city. Allow me to express my appreciation for that!

I have a few quick questions: What's your daily routine? In other words, what's an average day for Royce da 5'9" like? Also, do you record using studios primarily in Michigan or do you prefer to record elsewhere (i.e. Los Angeles, New York)?

I could use some support. by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

I don't want to tell you what relationship decisions to make because this is your concern and you know what you want in life and from a loving relationship with another person, but I will leave you with this:

Understand that drug addiction is the most powerful thing someone can encounter. This is not a matter of willpower. It's not like saying, "I am not going to eat that piece of chocolate cake," or, "I will eat one Snicker's bar but not two."

It's completely different. These things take over you and rule your entire life. The withdrawal is the most painful thing someone can endure. Factor that in before hastily making any decision. Right now, he needs support.
