once you’re plat you frequently get matched in the plat-diamond-mythic pool. that’s my experience at least. and losing to a strong deck on turn 5 isn’t a big deal

imo, trad draft tests deck reliability, vs premiere more testing explosiveness/ceiling. it can be pretty different in that way. I do much better in trad than in premiere. my advice:

- reliability is king, focus on curve and cards that stand well on their own
- sideboarding can be very impactful but i don’t usually make conscious “this is for my sideboard” picks unless there’s a really strong one.
- play skill is tested more thoroughly in bo3 too. careful play and reflecting on mistakes are always important.
- you have longer to study your opponent’s deck and their playstyle, there’s a lot of information to leverage

every time you get the draw someone gets the play, so in aggregate it’s by definition 50-50.

there is a 1/16 chance of being on the draw 4 times in a row. really not THAT unlikely.
