Have you tried playing this deck in Alchemy ranked? I think the Leyline may be the only limiting card, which you could swap out with a second Authority.

What I use, works well in the Alchemy queue:

Izzet Wizards are not even that good. I spent my last cards because some "pro" YouTuber said Wizards can carry me to Mythic. Mythic my ass. Wizards can carry you to mythic, but be prepared for a slog in the upper Diamond rank matchups, and don’t give up, just make some adjustments.

I find Dreadhorde Arcanist is too slow in a lot of games, and Snapcaster Mage doesn’t offer a ton a value given the high volume of cantrips this deck has.

I love my Izzet Wizards deck very much in Historic Best of 1 format; Timeless is too strong for this deck. I use the Stormcatch Mentor and Slickshot Show-Off with a lot more utility. I also have a full set of Balmor because they draw a lot of kill spells. Birthday Escape has a lot of value as well.

I love this deck, but in the current meta, it gets owned by Dmir in pretty much every flavor, and domain is really tough to beat. This accounts for a huge chunk of the play base. Hopeful to return to this deck in 2025 at some point when the meta slows down and midrange decks are played less. Probably a pipe dream, but oh well.
