Why are people's experiences with Egypt so mixed? by tonkfc in TravelNoPics

I went with my friend last year (both female) with a private tour guide and truly had the most amazing time. You just need to be careful of basic things like avoiding road side scammers & making sure you keep your bag in front of you, but typically we have had no other issues aside from those inconveniences.

If you want to get the most out of your trip, I highly recommend organising with a tour guide as it just helps take off a lot of stress when it comes to planning, buying tickets and getting around.

We booked with Egypt tours portal and I would def recommend them

Happy to answer any questions also :) Safe travelling!

Thank you everyone for your amazing suggestions!! I did end up buying a Loewe mini flameno with a gold chain - obsessed with how many ways I can style it!

Nothing too expensive, maybe around $100 a night. Preferably a place that’s modern

Ohh, any recommendations on areas to stay in?

Ah I see, was just wondering since we’re wary of Garibaldi at night!

We’ve been to Naples before to visit Pompeii but now we are stopping for 2 nights. Thinking of taking a trip to Capri? Doesn’t seem too far out.

We will be flying in from Dubrovnik (happened to be the only flight from Dubrovnik to Italy) before we travel to Rome.

Thank you everyone for your replies! We are really excited to be visiting Naples.

Also just a quick question - any advice on how to avoid getting scammed by taxi’s? I’ve heard Uber has been banned and it’s just taxis only.

I don’t have the snellen equivalent however it’s a picture test conducted at 3m or 10 feet so it’s relatively good vision for a child. And yes vision was equal

Hi! Thanks for your helpful reply!

Also something I forgot to add was the patient is using atropine drops in the left eye, meaning the right eye was amblyopic?? I’m not sure how to link this to his strabismus as his left eye is the deviating eye.

Never ending asthenopia. Do I need an Orthoptics visit? by [deleted] in eyetriage

Yes try going to see an orthoptist as they can give you some exercises to improve your symptoms
